This morning, my little boy ( the one who was also confined from dengue months ago) came to me and said that his ear is aching, actually he complained about this 4 days ago and i saw this pimple like thing just at the outer ear, and i thought it was ok since it popped after a day..and now this morning, he complained, and said it was painful.. so i told him to rest..
When hubby arrived from an errand, i told him about it and he said we better not wait and we must go to the hospital - again ( we just brought my other baby boy last month!) anyways, we did bring him and the physician there said the inner ear was swelling but he cannot really see the reason why.. ( he is not an ENT and no instrument to see the inner ear ) so he just gave my son medicine for pain and anti biotics to minimize the swell..
so, he is not sleeping and is feeling better ( i hope) but we will still bring him to the ENT tomorrow, an ear specialist who could totally see the inside of his ear. I am hoping and praying its nothing serious and something that can still be cured immediately!
Me and hubby were discussing about it and i asked him how much we spent..he said i must not ask anymore as long as he is fine..well i was just curious and from his tone, i know it was way beyond the budget again.. oh well children are investments right? their health is still top priority.. and am left with nothing right now..except my sleeping son, Thank God he seems fine now..but let's not see my purse and hubby's wallet lol. i know its empty.
So children are investments right?? ^_^

Children are really investment. Anyway, they are a real blessing to and you get them for free. They are priceless. when they grew up to be good children, there you will see the investment is worth it.

sadly your pockets may always be empty after having kids unless you get rich. even when they are grown its hard to see them in pain or doing without something they really need. its why i have went broke even after they are grown.

that's why parents love are unconditional.. you just cant leave your children suffering.. you have to love them empty pocket or not!

Oh how I wish children would appreciate what parents go through for their well-being instead of them only thinking of a way to get out of the house! I definitely could see that parents really give their all for their children, most especially in times of sickness such as these.
I guess children are investments if you raised them well and with respect. I see a lot of families where I am at where children take care of their parents when they grow old. Though there are those families as well where the children don't really care and would complain if the old parents stay with them longer.
I think you should also make sure the you have retirement savings as well. We will never know if our children are investments or not, until the time we need them to be.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Yeah that is why i make it a point to educate them well, teach them values as much as i teach them in their academe.
i was also thinking how the hell with i be able to save for retirement when its always eaten up by these expenses.. it is hard really.

I'm so sorry for your son. I'll pray that he will get well very soon and he won't feel the pain anymore.
We love our children so much right and it is just right for the parents to take care of them. Most especially on their health and education. We only want to give the best for them. Don't worry about the cost, just offer all your worries to God and He'll take care of everything. Just do your part as parents He will provide for your needs.
I wish that your family will always be in good health.

I guess if they grow up to help take care of you. But if they don't, they might not be.
But they're humans you love and that love you. That's more important right now.

Well that is one way to look at it. But what do we get out of it....lol. Hmm grandkids. I am a mother of 8 and I know how hard it can be to raise these beautiful children. I am very fortuneate that I live in a country that cover our health care costs (doctors and specialists) but I know that my brother has had difficult times as he is not in the same country. I really hope that your son is feeling alot better and I hope he does not have to keep going through illness.

yes indeed jazel juan I could also say children are investments and next; time head to an ent man first and save money.children are often prone to ear infections and getting antibiotics as soon as possible is the best thing to get rid of them. home remedies are not going to work for ear infections trust me. my sister had them when she was little and antibiotics were the fastest way to get rid of the infections.

yes but it was Sunday Ms. Hatley so i had no choice but to bring him to e.r..because i was really worried about it.. and yesterday, monday i brought him to the ENT and said it was due to his colds and it directed to his ears infecting the eardrums thats why it was swollen, he is still feeling the pain and crying.. i hope the medicines will work ASAP!

When my daughter was growing up I experienced a lot of wallet emptying scenes with her. There are months she has to be hospitalized and years of monthly check-ups. When she started school, another means of wallet-emptying and when she started college, I thought i have nothing more to spend to. But thanks, she is a well-behaved girl, decent and intelligent and her scholarships support her college. She did on her own and the only credit I can claim is that I reared her as a healthy and sensible child.
