Crying over a sad dream

My daughter can't stop crying over her sad dream this afternoon when she took a nap. She said she had a dream about an owl and a star. They were best of friends but the owl had to go down because the sky said the owl should go. That left the star crying back in the sky and owl also cried in the ground. We can't stop her from crying and she was crying even louder when she was telling us her dream. I can feel so much the sad emotion from her that I can almost feel how the star and the owl felt when they had to separate. Then after she said we have to buy her a stuff toy owl and a star so that they will never to be apart again. This made me laugh actually.

That is really a cute idea of buying a stuffed owl and a stuffed star so that they will never have to be apart again. I know that there has only been one time that I've actually had a dream that made me cry. That was when a friend of mine from college was missing and he appeared to me in a dream standing beside his car and waving goodbye to me. That was the point that I knew that he had passed away and it about killed me since we were so close to each other.

The idea of buying the stuffed toys is a great one. It may be difficult to find a stuffed owl though. I was going to say you may also want to remind her that at night the moon and stars come back out and the owl will come back too. So though they are apart right now they can be back together soon. That may help her sadness a little. I hate when little ones are sad. I hope this helps her out.

I tried to look for the owl stuffed toy but I haven't found anything yet. I found a star but I told her that her dad is going to make her a star lantern and this time we will just find an owl even if it is not a stuffed toy. She cried a little but she agreed.

Wow. I can relate to your daughter since when I was a kid, I would also cry too whenever I have a bad dream but the stuffed toys is a good idea! It's actually very cute for her to ask for that.

I think this is normal for kids. I do remember my daughter also cried after waking from her bad dreams. She can't help crying and it takes time before she was able to compose herself. Buying a stuff toy is not bad idea at all..

That's such a sweet and sad story. The stuffed toy thing is a good idea but why not write down her story and draw some pictures and make her own book. You might have the next JK Rowling for a daughter.
