5 Steps to Happiness

So, I've been dealing with life through ups and downs. I've been happy, sad, angry, miserable, hopeless, etc. I simply wanted to share a little something from my experiences.
Step #1: Define "Happiness". Be sure this isn't your dictionary-based definition. You must define it through experience, life-long earned values and a solid opinion. This is similar to getting to know yourself.
Step #2: Set out a certain date only for yourself. A normal day or a special day will do. Decide on the frequency(once a year, once a month, once a week, or even everyday) Be sure you can keep it up despite all the possibilities. You are as important as the other people you cherish. Always make sure you have time for yourself.
"One who cannot love himself will never be able to love another person wholeheartedly."
Step #3: Make a list of things you want to do. Divide the list into 3 different groups: Must-Do, Will-Do, Hope-To-Do. Set out a certain level of achievement to be done on your "Myself Day". The minimum is 1 Must-Do goal is achieved. You must be able to accomplish it. Failure isn't an option on "Myself Day".
Step #4: Every Myself Day, remember something that other people consider wrong but isn't for you. Think it through as yourself then think it through as them. Know why it's wrong for them and why it isn't for you. Now, the challenge here is to accept the very reason why they considered it wrong. You do not need to change yourself to what they want. You must simply learn to understand other people.
Step #5: Do something diffrent. Whether that something is something you hate, something you loved but is limited due to various reasons, or something completely new, you must be able to do it. If before you didn't study, try studying for a single day even if you're not in school. The minimum time limit here is that it must have lasted for at least an hour.
Upon completing all the 5 steps, notice the difference. Did something happen? Was it good? bad? Did it help you? made you worse? Are you happy? regretful?
Just on a side note, these 5 steps will not guarantee you everlasting happiness. If this helped you, by all means, do not thank me for it. Thank yourself. I did nothing. You did it all by yourself. Feel free to express your opinions. Have a Great Day! :)

To me, happiness is, when you feel good about something. It is when you feel good about what had happened, what's happening, and what is about to happen. That's happiness to me is, according to my thoughts.

this discussion is great!
let me thank you for sharing this.
this is of a help to all who reads this it's quite a lengthy one but it is sure worth reading.
i agree to your points like having a "myself day" and loving yourself first or let's say knowing what you are and what you have or simply the totality of being you is good before loving somebody else. with this there is a lesser chance that you would have doubts in loving which other people are now experiencing.
this is good. thumbs up for you.

Interesting Happy 5 step tips you gave, darknessfalls.
i guess there's different versions to steps of being happy.
here's my version
1.) Think Postive, Read the Bible, Believe in God.
2.) Believe in Yourself
3.) Smile :)
4.) You can do anything you want to do if you put your mind to it.
5.) Accept things as it is.
i think happy is better than being grungly, grudgy or grumpy. LOL!
