Looking for some beading friends on here. I
have been doing it for about 2 years now.
I really enjoy it and it's fun to have craft
buddies. I also crochet and have recently
combine the two. I embroidery also and may
add beads to some of that later.

I have been beading from time to time since last summer. I enjoy making jewelry with beads and things. I have an idea of making a vase with some wire and beads. I have some patterns for purses with a beaded strap and I would like to try to make it but I don't know if the strap would break and I would lose all the beads.

I would love to see some of your bead work.
I am having my 1st bead show this weekend and
so I am nervous.
Your vase pattern sounds intriguing. And I love the
beaded purses. If you could use wire and secure it real
well I don't think the strap would break.
We can always toss ideas back and forth. I love doing that.

I've been beading for over 15 years. I love it and I gain inspiration from others pieces of work. If you wanna see some of my stuff you can go to simplydazzlingshoppe.weebly.com
Has a bunch of different things that I do.. I've been getting into the clay too. Just fun and different each piece is unique :)
So many great sites out there to help with technique and designs. so just keep searchin and you'll find that inspires you :D

What is beading? I do a lot of cross stitching, embroidery and a few other crafts. I have tried to crochet in the past, but I could not get the hang of it. I have seen a lot of discussions on here about cross stitching, but none about beading.

Yes, they taught crochet in Home Economics when
I was going to school. I actually had trouble with
it since I learned when I was so young. I hold my hook
like a child holds their spoon and that is not the proper
way to hold the hook. It does not effect the work any but
my teacher was hung up on technique. So, that was an issue.
I agree, I think they should still teach such things in school.
