Do you get a lot of Facebook notifications?

In a day, it's a miracle if I could get 5 notifications in my Facebook. Mostly I only get 1 or 2. Even if I update my status often and post pics and other stuff, I don't get much likes and comments, unlike my other friends who'd get like a hundred likes and comments in just one picture or status. Is this sad? Don't you think that Facebook (and other social networking sites) are like our social status "labeler"? How about you, do you get a lot of notifications or just a few? How does it affect you?

Recently, I've been posting a lot things esp link of mylot discussions and - I don't know for what reason, but - people like to comment on them. Facebook isn't my thing anymore though I got 170+ notifications maximum per day - and that is from photographs I post, issues I like to battle! *Wink! And of course, the never-on-old change in relationship status! :P

Dear, back then I spend my whole day doing facebook and passing around nonsense! Hahaha. Not a very good thing to do with my life. (LOL)

Hi, me too. I know what you're feeling. 
I feel so sad and I feel neglected whenever I get no notifications at all. I feel sadder whenever no one likes my post or my pictures. I don't know what to do about it. Before, I used to be so active that I receive many likes all the time. But now, I feel like I've become so shy to update my status and post new pictures.

Yes I got more notifications in facebook some time feel irritated because no time for checking. I not update my status regular because I not daily login in facebook.

In the recent past it was awful
, I used to receive even more than twenty in a day, telling stupids things like "your friend ... said yuppy, or said yummy,yummy" and my email was full of all of those things, but now it is better because I only receive notifications when is somebody's birthday or if somebody mention me in a commen. So I think is beter now.

I used to receive a lot too in the past. I enjoy having a lot of notifications even if it's a lot. Like when I got married and I posted wedding pics I receive like a hundred in a day. But I don't mind coz I like the feeling of people commenting and liking my pics. I know, I'm such a sad person! LOL!

facebook seems more boring for now. most of my friend move to twitter, I think it is only a phase. at 2007-2008, friendster was the king then facebook kicked it till twitter raises.
i also get a few notifications, I get a many notification if I update my status brilliantly :D

Hehehe! Yeah I do notice that Facebook's getting old. I don't really find Twitter that fun either. So far YouTube has been the only one that's staying on it's throne. But even those make-up videos (which what I've been crazily watching ever since) are slowly becoming tiresome and boring to watch. I guess we need a new internet craze!

Yes I do have several facebook notifications some would go 8 to 10 notifications a day but I don’t like receiving such notifications because they are not personally related to me or the intent of notifying myself is not because of some comment to a post, or a picture, or a message etc.
They are all application notification that people in my friend’s list are registered. I don’t like the idea that people will give you a notification on joining an app be it games, quizzes, or events that’s way far from my interest. What I do is a ignore them and just close those notifications and disabled my application preferences on facebook.
