I'd say if both are equally priced or the price difference is less than 20% then i would buy LED.I think LEd is a lot more costlier than LCD? I am not sure about it but that is what i guess.When i went to buy monitor for my PC i couldnt choose between these two because led was way too expensive for me.Again i dont know about current pricing of monitors.

Well both are good LCD is much like older to LED LED is a new tech, consumes less power, viewing angles is much better than LCD LED are little expensive than LCD I would suggest LED

well, the difference is on the backlighting.. LED is using more energy saving consumption type compare with LCD which make this type of monitor slightly more expensive than LCD..however, you will invest in long term, not only for your eyes health but also for electricity bills.. I prefer to use LED type..

What ever be the LCD or LED just go for the branded one which suits you well and don't go for a local manufactured.I use a samsung LED which is giving better performance for the last one year.

As you have said the price between the two is not much, so for me I would prefer the LED monitor. They say LED monitors consumes less power and they produce better results on picture's brightness and sharpness. LED screen have faster response time compared to LCD's.

In this case, LED may probably be your best bet. Although LCD are much cheaper than LED but LCD use mercury in the fabrication which is very harmful to the health and to the environment. LED use much lesser power than LCD so you would likely to save more when you buy LED at the same time you help our environment. And most of All, LED provides you a better image quality and better quality in fast moving images, and it is also lighter than LCD. =) Hope This Help!!!
