I woke up this morning to a pleasant news about another Filipina beauty make big raves in a beauty contest.
Ms. Ruais won the 1st runner up position of Miss World 2011! That's even better than Miss Ruffa Gutierrez' 1993 quest for the crown where she placed 2nd runner up!
After Venus Raj and Shamcey Supsup...It's Gwendolyn's turn to celebrate! Congratulations Gwendolyn you made Filipinos proud!

I am very proud to be a Filipina. They always reign in every pageant if not the first runner up, second or third placer. Filipinas have both the beauty, talent and intelligence. Congratulations Philippines! Congratulations 1st runner up of Miss World 2011, Gwendolyn Ruais! You make us so proud!

I am so happy for her too! I think it is time for Ms. Philippines to win the crown, I wonder when will it be. I just hope that next time we bring home the bacon. We always get the runner-up prize but still, it is better than not having any places or rank. I am proud of her.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to filipina! actually, the beauty and smartness of filipina are exceptional. We always have the best candidates in Miss World Pageant. Gwendolyn Ruais has a different ways of making herself differently to other candidates. i think the uniqueness of her is one of the thing that let her have the crown. Proud of HER! May God Bless more the philippines! :)

Yes, every Filipino must be very proud of her because it is not easy to land in the top three of Miss World considering the pageant's rigid standard in selecting winners. She must be very smart, unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the Miss World pageant. It is already a good performance because being first runner up is a tough act. Congratulations to Gwendolyn.

Congratulations to her. I think she deserve the crown. Her answer was brief, precise and was well said unlike some who used a translator. They should really start banning the use of translators. I think she was beautiful but I her hair is a little... I don't know. I just think she can look better with just her hair down. The way they did her up do is quite weird to me. Just my opinion though.

Wow, that's a good news indeed. I fell sick since yesterday, so i didn't have the chance to watch TV, even today. I am a bit better now, so i prefer to do some Mylotting.
It goes to say, that Filipinas have beauties and brains that are at par with other nationalities. Hmm, at least we are indeed improving.

Congratulations to her,at least some good news and a respite from all the bad news like the Revilla and Pempengco cases that has been bombarding us these past few days.

She promised to bring home the crown. But even if she did not that was so close to the Miss World title!
She really did well and she really deserve to win if compared to all the delegates. She simply stands out of the crowd. Anyway, Venezuela always win a lot of beauty titles even in the past. Both Puerto Rico and Venezuela country always became finalist in many beauty pageant and the Philippines included between those South American countries is really an achievement for an Asian.
