I was watching a movie done by well known Comedy King (Dolphy) here in Philippines " Father Jejemon". I was really good time watching this movie. My thinking gone wild. And ended up in crazy thoughts. What if the Preacher used Beki Language or Gay Lingo to communicate to people. What will be happen to the activity. " good morning sa sokaw chenelin! we are avout techi start our activity chenelin. please all rise chenelin."

First of all, not everyone will understand his language. So no one will ever go back to hear mass. It is not right to fool around with the word of God too. So I don't think, if in case there is a priest like that in reality, he will ever be respected. I enjoyed hearing mass from priest who can make the preachings lively by including some funny words and experiences but not necessarily have to change the language itself.

The gospel of Jesus Christ should be spoken without any hooks or extra flavor, its the truth, plain and simple. If the pastor is trying to reach the gay community then he just needs to let them know that God loves us all, no matter the sin we commit. I'll have to check out this movie to see what you are talking about, could be interesting.

Hi syoti! I don't think it would be nice to use Bekimon by a priest during a mass. I mean, gay priests are already accepted nowadays but for them to speak gay lingo during a sermon? I think it will just be a disturbance during the mass. People find bekimon funny and amusing and if it will be spoken during a mass, people will just laugh and lose their concentration during the mass. Also, they wouldn't even understand most of the words in Bekimon. Some would find it funny but some would find it ridiculous. Some would even think it's a disgrace. Not all people welcome gays and gay priests for that matter.

Hi syoti: It might be funny watching this but in reality this would be disgusting. A preacher should chose the right words so that people could understand him. In my case I would feel apart if my preacher would talk to me that way. ALVARO

I think when that happens, the people will roar into laughter, thinking that the preacher is joking. On the serious side, being a preacher , he should act and talk the way a preacher is expected to be. Because if the above happens he will surely be petitioned by the people to be expelled from preaching.

If that is the case, going to church will no longer be boring for those youngsters who hardly visit church or attend mass. They may possibly join services when it comes to church activities as they deliver their wordings into that kind of style or language. And it will be so much amusing if it happens.

But the problem is that many people will be against since the scenario is damaging the Sacracy of the Word.

Of course it is, the scenario inside the church will also be like a comedy gatherings. You know catholic churches are finding ways to increase the number of those attending mass, joining activities and services. Have you seen the singing and dancing nuns and the rapping way of delivering the reading of passion in the celebration of the holy week. What you have thought for the said view might happen too, who knows

I have not heard about the movie ever. Maybe i will try it someday. I think, however, it is funny to see a preacher preaching in gay lingo.

then it's interesting to observe how many people really get the message, how many are noticing what is said at all, which part is falling a sleep, and which people are waiting for the preacher to ask him what exactly he ment by saying this.

A preacher should always use the right language or words that people can understand easily. What the point of preaching if people cannot understand what you are saying. It is just a waste of time.
