Hi friends,
I am sure many of you write for Shvoong so please help me resolve my doubts since their support team is not responding to my queries.I have written two articles, one summary and one review on the site and have had 19 visits. But my profit still shows as zero. Why are my earnings zero when I have had visits to my articles?
Is there any minimum number of visits that we need to get before we see some earnings? Please help with anything that you may know about earning from this site.
Thanks in advance!

Well first of all I'd like to mention that even on the good paying sites, 19 visits would only get you a few cents.
Second, shvoong pays VERY little. Out of all the writing sites I've ever participated in, I've never seen a PPM (pay per thousand views) as low as Shvoong.
Across all of my shvoong "articles" (mostly summaries and some translations), I have 1746 visits which have earned me 0.53 cents. That's about 0.31 PPM. Compare to AC's 1.75 and Helium's 1.25 - 1.75, and 0.31 PPM is VERY low.
The reason you don't see earnings is because so far you've earned HALF a cent.
I would never recommend shvoong as a good Revenue Share income site.

As far as I know, Shvoong pays only 10% of what it earns. As far as the 19 visits go, it is nothing to see the payment. I have 80 summeries there and I don't know what to do. I think, I have wasted all those articles there. Where can I re-post them as they are? I don't have enough time to edit those articles. But the problem is that some summaries are like news-based articles. So I doubt posting them elsewhere will make any sense.
Yes, I agree, even I would never recommend the site.

Well thank you so much for such a detailed response.I am not from the U.S. so I will have to check the sites individually to find out if they pay.I am earning a steady income from Triond and other writing sites and would love to experiment with more from your list. Thanks once again for being so helpful.

I have written 80 summaries and still my earnings are lesser than you. Probably I have lesser hits. But can you tell me a bit about Redgage. I heard about it, but don't yet know much about it. Does it require fresh content? Or can we post the Shvoong articles EXACTLY as they are?

Hi abhi_bangal,
You can re-post your Shvoong content exactly as it is on Redgage. If you have no problems using my link to sign up, I can help you with Redgage. I do need a referral there.

Thanks so much friend for sharing your stats.I think it is a waste of time on that site.I am earning much more from other writing sites. You are absolutely correct!

I think there are an amount of visitors need to be met before you can earn.

That is something really serious, the admin not responding. My friend, 19 visits won't give you anything. The reason I believe is that Shvoong pays only 10% of its income. It's terribly too low. Another reason is that the stats are updated monthly. So wait and see if you get the cents credited in your account. If I am not wrong, then they update it on the 5th of every month. I hope it helps.

It is a waste because the panda has hit it also. i have also written two articles there but earned nothing from it. I think I will re post it in expertscolumn whee it is better and the minimum payout is only 5$.
