Hello,
I just adopting a kitten ~ 5 weeks ago. That was a raining night with thunder storm. I met her at the middle of a busy road. I guess she was just 2 weeks old that time that can hardly take solid food and was soon weak. God bless she is getting well after good care...
Not sure if she was frighten after 'washed' by the rain that night that she is so afraid of raining night.
She will "MEOW" whenever it is raining night...
Any cat lovers here with similar observation on your kitten / cat?
Any suggestion to help her?
Many thanks in advance for your kindness on the suggestion.

What a lucky Kitten! You are a good soul, and I am sure you will care for him well. You are lucky that the cat is healthy for him being a stray, but i would humblely suggest a trip to the Vet, or your new friend could get sick. Best of luck to you and your new buddy! God Bless!

Congrats you are a person with agreat heart!taking that little cat from the storm means that you care for the defenless,I know that kitten wil love a lot because you save it.
To take care of your kitten is better that you do not give cow's milk - it can make them sick and give them diarrhea. You can obtain mother's milk replacer for young kittens at many of the pet stores in the area. When the kittens are 8 weeks or older, they no longer need the milk but may enjoy it anyway. Milk that has been specially processed for cats to consume safely is available from many local groceries.
And keep clean, fresh water available to your kitten at all times. The bowl should be low enough for the kitten to able to drink from it easily. Some kittens enjoy playing in the water and even tipping over the bowl, so you may need a heavy bowl. Place the bowl when it won't get dirtied by litter etc.

Thanks Rosa for your GREAT advice above.
Yeah, I only found out the kitten shouldn't take cow milk when she was diarrhea after taking the milk. I bring her visit vet and get the advice to get her cat's dedicated milk. She like the milk very much...
Now she is growing healthy and getting very active... She was cute and like to play with me. I found her like my daughter nowadays. :)

The fact that you have her still at 7 week, I guess its 9 weeks now, is a good indication that you have been a good kitty-mommy to her.
The fear may never completely go away, but if you just remain calm and comfort her during the storms, she may calm down as well.
My Taj spent a week in a tree just before his 4th birthday, and one night there was a severe thunderstorm. For almost a year after that, Taj was afraid of thunderstorms, but because I was calm and comforted him during them, he eventually calmed down and is no longer bothered by them.

It is so nice of you to adopt her. As I have observed, it is normal
for kittens even for cats to be afraid for heavy rains. Whenever
it is raining heavily especially if it's noisy outside,
our cats go inside the house and they will meow signalling they're afraid.

I adopted my kitten when she was around two months old. The first things I bought are kitten food, litter box and crystals, and bed (though she never used the bed). I never trained her to poop in the litter box. She just go there by her own whenever she's going to poop.
It seldom rains in my country that is why I'm not sure if she will also meow when it rains.

Great to hear that you have a good thing. I dont know about kittens. But a general psychology is that if it has fear just give it some time to recover from that. Just keep it out of rain. Them slowly expose it to drizzling then to the rain. I will pray god for its recovery.
