HubPages vs Self hosted Domain - Which do you prefer?

I have recently got myself a self hosted domain and I been wondering a lot if I should just stick to HubPages. Of course, I know the drill that need to be patience and have lots of good stuffs (and backlink too). However, since I am not really a techie type of guy, I believe writing for a writing site like HubPages is a better choice compared to a self maintenance website. What do you think?

having a self-hosted domain is always superior to hubpages. i value control and ownership of my work. this is best in self-hosted domain. but to build it up and really attract a good deal of visitors, i need to work hard to create contents and layout and format. it really takes time, but worth it. for now, i am still building my contents before i get my own domain name.

Hosting your own domain is easy as long as you know what to do, but since you said you are not the techie type of person, then I think you should stick with hubPages. At least it make easier for you. You will need to learn a lot of things to maintain your own hosted webpages unless you hire someone to do it for you.

On a self hosted domain it will take some time and lot of effort. This one is better than HubPages but will take time. Stick with both of them and so will realize yourself.
