Somewhere deep down in all of us is a call to purpose. I've found that it's not necessarily about performing a specific task, being in a particular place or being in a certain occupation, rather it's about sharing yourself in a creative, loving way using the skills and interests that are a part of you. It can involve almost anything, singing, cooking, gardening, writing, surfing, dancing - the list is endless. Get your ego out of the way however, your purpose is not to be famous or make a lot of money, yet these things may come automatically, just let the universe handle the details. Do it because you want to express what is in you, do it for those who love to hear you sing, watch you dance, read your stories or poetry, laugh at your comedity routine or get lost in your paintings. It doesn't matter what you do, give it because it's in you to give, everything will fall in place.

Yes, I agree with you. I have found my purpose. I believe that my God given purpose is to help people. As a volunteer at a hospital and an adult literacy tutor, I am blessed to share God's love with others by serving them. I believe that God created me for this and other special and wonderful purposes for His glory.

Hello Pose123!
This discussion reminds me of my thought when I was in high school. I really love writing and I made up my mind back then that I will be a writer/novelist. But of course, as I grew up, that dream did not come true because of lack of opportunity and other life matters.
Even if I did not become a writer, I still have something inside me that keeps on nagging me to write. I would like to believe that my purpose in life is to write. I just want to write and create good stories and articles for everyone :)

Hi girl_thinking, You must not give up on your dream as we are all given talents that we might share them. It has been said, do not die with your music still in you, or in your case the stories you have to share. Make the desire to create something that others will enjoy your top priority and everything else will fall into place. Thank you for coming here and for commenting. Blessings.

Hi Pose: These are great words. In my case, and I think it's almost the same with a lot of people too, I have found that my purpose is to listen people's problems and give some advice to guided them. That's what I do as a lawyer, helping people to find the answers and caring for them. I feel happy doing this and I don't do this only in my profession but in general just by being me.

Mine is to develop myself in the way I like without any bounders.
I don't feel the need to get rich or succesful (in the eyes of others). The only thing I want is to spend time with me and develop myself. I think that is what life is about/the meaning of life.

You sound like a very smart person. I sometimes wonder what life is supposed to be all about, what my purpose is here on this earth, but not very often. I do what I like for a living. I clean people's houses for them. Now that may not sound like a rewarding carreer to some people but to me it is.
I make more money cleaning houses for people than most people I know make doing something professionsal that they spent a fortune on schooling. For example, one of my friends is a nurse and it took her 4 years of school and $60,000. Now she is making $3500 a month. I never went to school after I graduated and I make over $4000 a month and I don't have any school loans to pay back.
Another one of my friends is an IT and she has 4 years of schooling and $90,000 to pay back and she makes about the same money as I do every month.
I am helping other people's lives by making them easier for them, now they can spend their time with their families instead of cleaning their houses on the weekends. I make their lives easier and they make my life easier by paying me well. I wouldn't do anything else for a living.
My mom got me started in this businesss as she has been doing it for about 10 years now and I saw she was earning really good money and she was feeling good about her job because she was helping others.
littlemissy here signing off for now,
talk to you soon my new friend

Hi littlemissey, I like your comments and thank you for responding. It really has nothing to do with the type of work that we do, and all about our feelings of accomplishment. You are helping people and it seems that you do a good job. While we all need money in the society that we've created here, it should never be our top priority, yet when we are doing what we love to do, we find that all our needs are met and more. We should never be doing something that we hate doing just because it pays well, such an approach to life is the complete opposite of what we need. You have the right idea. Blessings.

Yes, thankfully I have, I have found that for me it is gardening. Back when I was 17 I actually had my own little gardening job, I would go and work for the elderly in their gardens, digging, mowing the lawns, etc.... It was one lady who gave me plants for my own garden that really got me started. I have found that gardening is a great alleviator for my depression! Just by getting out in the fresh air and getting the joy and satisfaction of my efforts. I love planting vegetables and flowers and watching them grow, it is a great achievement. But also it's the fact that I am gardening on my own, I am a solitary person and prefer my own company and gardening is simply ideal. I have less to do in the winter months however, but certainly it has helped me immensely as someone who suffers with chronic depression.

Hi,
Love is the secret of our life. fist of all we should love our God, who give us the life, and a lot of things around us for our service. we have says said " Love to be loved ". Love your work to realize a good results and get appreciation from your God and managements. Love your family, to to gain happiness. Put in your mind that having money are the method to realize your life target and results, but do not put it as your aims and visions.
lastly, we should have a good relation between our God, pray for him to get pleasant, our human people around us and cooperate with them to realize our life aims, and with our self to respect our mind and body for realizing a healthy and active life.

Hi jillhill. Thank you for commenting and you may be richer than you think. Do you get satisfaction from sharing your talents? There are millionaires out there who would love to know such a feeling of accomplishment. That isn't saying that you are not able make a lot of money if you want it. Blessings.

A pleasant day to you Pose123,
Your main topic discussion really hits me bullseye. As I am now facing a lot of trials in life. It was started when I have decided to redirect my career path six months ago. Wherein before, I was so decided to put up and raised my own small business but as the days passes by, my direction to my goal seems to go nowhere. That, my good ideas before was turned down one by one by my mother. That, the support I am expecting from her was all gone. And with the situation that I am facing now makes me depressed.
Fortunately, I have a sister who still believes in my ideas. That, because of her, I find courage to go and wake up everyday. As she always gives me words of encouragement to fight and to go on with my ideas. That, she always reminds me to ignore comments coming from our mother. That, I should go on with my plans since it is me who will reap what ever the consequence of this plans at the end.
And as I have read what you have wrote, "it does not matter what you do, give it because it is in you to give, everything will fall in place." Honestly, when I have read this lines, I realize somehow that I should go on with my plans. That is to continue to put up my small business, to be a poem writer and a junior photographer. Believing that one day, God will turn all of this into reality. That everything will fall into its proper place.

Hi airasheila, I am humbled and very pleased that my words seem to have helped you. I believe everything that I wrote here and if this is what you feel that you must do, than go for it with all that you have. As I've said, becoming rich must not been be our first priority, but rather sharing what we do best with the world. Do not be discouraged, give your best and you will be rewarded beyond anything you thought possible. Blessings.

I believe my calling in life is to be a blessing to people. In simple ways. I love to give gifts, espeically homemade gifts, and I like to do things to put a smile on people's faces as well. But I don't think I'm to be famous or anything. I think we should be doing that stuff anyway as a society, and I'd like to bring that back.

Hi Masihi, Thank you for your quick response and I think you have the right idea. You will get what you desire out of it, but certainly nothing can surpass the feeling that you are giving of yourself and that that someone is benefiting from it. Who knows what a small act of kindness can do or the stories that may be told about it at some future time? Continue to give of yourself and you will be rich beyond compare but not necessarily in money. Blessings.

I agree to your statement. Every individual is given a specific function by our Creator, and all this purpose where meant for His glory. As for me, I can see a vision of what is my task here on Earth.Singing and performing are my lines of interest as of now, but, after those times of thinking and asking wisdoms from Him of what does He wants me reaally to be, I heard Him says, one day, when your grown enough, riped enough from the experiences of life, you'lll be mine forever. You are going to used your songs to give praise to me and encourage your fellow what are the true necissities in life. That its not those earthly things, but their faith in Me....I bow to this vision, its reall an honor to be given such precious gift for a very rare and specific purpose...
