Recharging Ozone Layer

Have you ever heard of the Venezuela Congo Mirador lightning display? It's where the highest lightning show activity happens every year - in a rough average of 1.5 million strikes! With electrical charges 300,00 amperes per strike it actually helps ozone layer (as I've read) charged up and recover from its damage. And this place plays the major role in that recovery. But now, since people and scientist saw the potential energy source - they are planning to set a program like taming the lightning. So it will be our choice in the end, whether to get electricity to power our houses and stuff and deplete the ozone or no power but with the ozone. (Oh well, I don't know either.)
