Finding the best book on any topic..

Hi Friends, How do you find (Search on Internet) a good book on any topic? E.g. I want to download a good book for SSRS (SQL Servers Reporting Services). Generally, if I've to check if a movie is good or not, I used to check in www.imdb.com website, similarly, do we have a website where I can get a list of top 10 or more books on any topic? Thanks!

I used to be a member on GoodReads. As I remember, there are a lot of user reviews and lists on that website, though I don't know if they'd be any use to you. And there are a few other social book websites (LibraryThing for instance). You could also try computer forums or ask here on MyLot.

I go to Amazon.com to check out reviews for books. I wish there was a site similar to IMDB but for books - that would be awesome! You can usually check out reviews online at your library's website as well. But I normally just go on Amazon.

Amazon is a good website because people pay for the books there and that's why you could get honest reviews..once upon a time I used to have time and interest in reading books, however, now I only watch the tutorials on youtube to learn anything or else search for tutorials online..
