Where have you always wanted to go?

I was having a conversation today about travel and where would you would go if you can only take one vacation for the rest of your lifetime. Personally, I would choose to visit my birthplace in Sicily, Italy. It has always been my dream to return to the birthplace of my family even if for a short while, I do not feel I will have completed my life goals without making this trip. If you had to choose one place to visit knowing it would be your only venture outside of your hometown for the rest of your life where would you choose to go? Is there someplace you have always wanted to visit and why?

My family are also from Sicily! It's a beautiful place, full of ancient buildings and the culture of the Sicilian people is unbelievable! But I have always wanted to visit America. Because of all the different cultures combined into one country.. :)

My family immigrated to America several years ago. My family still owns a home in Sicily and I would love to spend some time exploring my culture. America is a beautiful place and I love all that it has to offer, I am glad to call it home but often dream of Sicily. I know when I am able to travel there it will be well worth the wait.
