as i watched tv, i observed that the brand olay is investing a lot on beautiful ladies and i also understand that they do this because they want their products to sell like hot cakes. they have Kris Aquino for their olay anti-aging facial cream, for their whitening facial cream they have Anne Curtis, for their whitening soap they Kim Chiu. for their new body wash they have Bea Alonzo. they also have Miriam Quiambao and Angel Aquino. beautiful women indeed! what do you think mylotters?

I have tried Olay on my own and can vouch for some of the products. However, as with any makeup...they use young women to show "results" of the product..and women that have been celebrities and had the money all their lives to buy stuff to protect their skin and at age 50+ look great. I just wish they'd use a real person with normal skin and all and show how it REALLY looks on an older person! I am sorry, but how Andie McDowell looks is not a help to me! Or how Sara Jessica Parker looks, doesnet make me go buy the product!

true. people nowadays are already smart and they know that merely using their products does not turn them into great looking celebrities in an instant. my mother used Olay in the past too and she loved the result but then she stopped because it was much too expensive.

IT can be pricey...but tell you mom to go to Olay's web site and the site and about 4 times a year they send out a coupon....buy $50 worth of their product, send in rebate and get $20 back. So you get $50 of product for $30. I have done it several times and you can do it multiple times per offer...as long as you buy new stuff each time. I have done that too. IT is a good deal. I have enough to last a year of their Definity face cream stuff...that is great...no wrinkles at 54 years old!...okay, a few, but I'll take it! That stuff really works great. I remember when Olay first came out and it was a lotion in a square bottle and the lotion was pink and it was just so cool to have a square bottle of pink sitting on your dressing table!

I agree. Their product endorsers are indeed very beautiful. It's also because of the product I guess since Olay is a beauty product.

they want to entice more customers and so they let these beautiful endorsers do the modelling but then not many people would want to buy their products because of this.

Yeah. They get these beautiful ladies as endorsers so many would be interested in their product. Why do you think that not many people buy their product because of the endorsers? I think not so many people buy that product because it's kind of expensive.

Even if they will be endorsed by the most beautiful women in the world, the people already knows that they already have that beautiful skin , even prior to endorsing such products because of Vicki Belo or other Beaty Clinic! As if they can still fool the viewers.
• Philippines

correct! they cannot fool viewers anymore because these actresses are also endorsing beauty clinics. but the some actresses are really believable and can still bring them customers.

Yeah they are trying to publish their products by using beautiful ladies in our world. I think they are nice products which we can have faith on them.

some people are turned off by these beautiful ladies they act as endorsers because i am sure they also have other products that they use to be pretty. but then some of their products are also effective but then kind of expensive.

Choosing beautiful actresses for product endorsement is one of their marketing strategies. In business, where competition is very tough, they have to make sure that their product would hit the market. Well, it's up to the consumers wether they patronize this product or not. :-)

youa are right marie! they have to make sure their products are noticeable and also popular so that a lot of people will know and also want to try their products. it is the consumer choice.

No wonder Olay products are very expensive. They surely have a big budget for their marketing strategies. I would like to try Olay products, but I think there are other cheaper alternatives that work the same or even better. All we have to do is to check the labels and ingredients.

i agree. they have to get back what they have spent on those celebrities and so aside from getting more for their product they will make it expensive so that they can pay for the celebrities. you are also correct serious, a lot of products can work like their products, we just have to compare labels and ingredients.

Yes they always pick the beauties, it would be interesting if they picked plain ordinary people and honestly show what their products can do...

yes, it would be interesting if they did what dove did - took 3 ordinary women to test on their products and let them see the difference. i think with this move also, their products will boost poplarity.

Come to think of it, all of their endorsers are already possessing good skin not because of cosmetics but courtesy of cosmetic surgeries. Why not take the likes of Pkwang and Wilma Doesn't as users and endorsers and let the people know their product really work.

you have a point there edna. their endorsers are mostly under belo medical group models and so they must be beautiful already. why not they choose melai too!

I wish their product sells like hot cakes because if it don't they will really lose lots of money. If I were a girl I won't really buy it because I am sure it won't work just like other products around.:)

lots of money indeed and they will also go bankrupt if their products wont sell especially there are a lot of products that offer the same service and are much cheaper. hey, some of their products work by they way

I you notice those commercial its too bright and blurry sometimes that's why you cannot see the real color or imperfection. I just hate their commercials but I like their products

i think they have to adjust those lightings and settings because they are afraid that some might scrutinize and still see imperfections. i like to use their products too but then i am afraid if the results wont come out the same.

Your right only celebrity and beautiful womens are theyre endorsers. Thats why many dont trust theyre product. They must pick only normal women. Then people will trust them.

yes, there are people who dont buy the products eventhough the endorsers are beautiful and sexy because those celebrities have other products and services they use to achieve what they have and not only by using olay.
