I do not think that a person needs to necessarily be in phycical contact as was posted here but it helps it improves things greatly. there are however other things that can be done.
Hopefully you wil have you answers by now, since I see this was posted originally months ago.
If not there are ways or people who may be able to help depending on where you are from.
