Designer or Original?

As we all know the festive holiday season is upon us soon. We will decorate our houses with lights and trees. And some of us will go all out and decorate anything and everything we can..lol. Now the big question is how do you decorate? I tend to let my kids help. That means the tree with all of the unmatching decorations and the ones my kids have made and yes even some I made when I was a kid. I wounder now what was I thinking when I made it hahaha. But I have seen many people that have to have it perfect. All the matching decorations, the perfect lights etc. So how do you decorate and why do you do it this way? I just do what my mom did. I would like to experience other peoples christmases. Thanks for your time and Ihope people will share.

My Christmas tree is covered with mismatched stuff that my children have made throughout the years. It is like a walk through memory lane every time we put up the tree..lol. My girls go through the ornaments and remember when they made them and comment on how they look....alot of them have little pictures of them on it when they were little. I like the way the "perfect" trees look in the store, but for my house...I think my tree fits best.

With me, I don't allow the little hands of little ones to mess up when I am decorating the Christmas tree. All they could do is to just sit and watch while munching some snacks and do some little help like handing or picking up fallen balls or any piece of decor, or even getting me a glass of water. I can't just allow them hang just about any piece of decor that don't match the color motif. I want all the decorations to be my sole responsibility but of course it's my hubby who handles putting up of Christmas lights outdoor.

i do love making our own decoration with the help of small tips through Internets.Although we will not celebrate Christmas i love to decorate Christmas tree with colorful stars and decorating items in my friends home.
