My date is knocking me at the gate. Just one week left for the D-Day to come. Though I consider my self well prepared to take on the IIM CAT this year. Hoping to settle a 80 or 90 percentiler this year. Hope to rid of the bang of the previous year.
As of today, CAT is the most rigorous and tough aptitude test taken in India for admissions in Indian Institute of Management and its recognized colleges all over the country. In comparison to GMAT exam CAT is not accepted by MBA colleges worldwide. But in India CAT is the most prestigious aptitude test till this day.
The exam pattern consists of 60 multiple choice questions with two sections QA&DI and LR&VA with 30 questions in each sections. The test is taken for a duration of 140 minutes, catering 70 minutes to each section. There are 40 slots on this year CAT. Examinee can choose any slot between 22nd October to 18th November of his/her choice. The score results will be out on 12th January 2012. And mad rush to admission queues in colleges will be visible since then. Over 200k candidates are going to take the test this year. My fate is gonna be decided on 14th November. Hopes and hopes.
