Is it reasonable sometimes to play truant?

For the reason that some of the courses in my college are really boring, or some teachers are not so active and makes the class vapidly. Thus, I will play truant by the means of asking for leave, but in fact, I do it for the sake of escaping from the class, then do things that I prefer. They are not something that meaningless or useless. What I do is to learn the coureses I fond of by myself. I think the college need a spirit of freedom, which will create passion and outstanding achievements. However, it's not a good behavior anyway, but pursuing the things that I like is reasonable. So what is you opinion on truant?
