Fitness classes or gym?

What do you think that is the best way to work out?
I am currently attending a yoga class and I think it works but it's only twice a week and I would like to join another class as well. I just want to get stronger and fit, and I think that two times a week are not enough. Is aerobic a good alternative or I should join the gym and follow a specific schedule?

For me, going to a fitness class would be the best option. I do better and am more motivated when there are other people with me and an instructor. When I go to the gym, I'm never really sure exactly what I should be doing. Should I be bicycling, jogging, lifting weights, etc. so I become bored fast at a gym. With me going to fitness classes, I have someone who can instruct me on what I need to be doing.

I agree that the instructor motivates me in yoga and she also makes me do all the exercises, and in the right order. In the gym I guess I will also have a trainer near me at least in the beginning to tell me what to do, but it might be boring because I will be alone. Thank you for your advice!

I'd probably do better in a gym if I made myself a set schedule of what I needed to do and stuck to it. I'd have to research exactly what kind of work out I would need and find the best type of equipment to use. I have back problems so I'd have to make sure it wouldn't be something that would aggrevate that. If I had a schedule to go by, that lets me know how long to stay on each machine and which machines to use, I'd do much better!

It really depends to you. I personally love going to aerobics because there is music and the people you are with are having fun. You encourage each other and stay fit at the same time. I go to a dance/kick-box aerobics. It is a 40 minute workout but we are all sweating at the end. If you want to do your own thing then join a gym because you can access all of their equipments.

Kick-box aerobic could be a good option, it sounds more interesting and intense than dance aerobic. I have never tried this before, I guess you can find many different ways and combinations that teachers do their fitness classes! I will definitely check this, it sounds challenging as well.

@besweet Honestly, I feel like doing workouts at home can be just as good if you're improvising with things.
I have never joined a gym or any exercise group because I prefer to do all that alone at home but that's just me. Going out and socialising can be beneficial for a lot of people cause you can make new friends and have support around you.
In the end, it's all about what you're fond of doing. Any exercise is good exercise. I love following along with YouTube videos. Because I can type in exactly what I want like what area I want worked out. It's amazing on YouTube.
