Hello MYLOTTERS, Yesterday when i was going to market i saw a pigeon rolling on road i stood there to know what has happened to it.After listening to the people i came to know that it was hit by a vehical and due to accident it broke its leg so it was not able to fly.I was so irritated to know that the person who hit it did not bother to look back what he has done.I was so upset to see it that people don't care about anything except to think about themselves. One of the person standing there hold that pigeon and helped it to fly in the sky but it came back and fell on the earth it was so sad to see that creature.I just dial to Yellow pages and got the number of nearby Animal health care and asked one of the person to sit with me in my car and took that pigeon there. They admitted it into their hospital but did not gauranteed it if they would be able to save it. I was so depressed to think it that have we human beings so big that we don't care for other animals. Are animals really have become burden for us?

Animals do not burden us. They keep us company and they have feelings too. They care for us more than we do them. We humans are the animals instead. But trust me, all animals (the real animals) will go to heaven but not us humans.

And you should see how I treat my beloved dogs. They live with me under one roof and have a special room for them next to my bedroom. I have 5 cute terriers as part of my extended family and when humans can't understand me and my inner feelings, I rely on my animal friends to bring sunshine to my life.

Don't underestimate terriers, though small but they can be very fierce. But once they are familiar with you than they are quite friendly. Yes, come next year as then my new house will be fully ready.

Hello PQ, I was or rather pigeon was lucky that we have the facility nearby my house. I was also upset to see the people behaviour towards that pigeon. At least they should have the sense to feel the pain of the animal they must not think that if these are animals they don't have pain they have it as we human beings feel when we are hurt.

Exactly! We humans tend to think of animals as 'just animals' like they have no feelings at all. I feel sorry for fish in the lakes and oceans that get hooks in their mouths.. I fear that they do feel pain.. it really upsets me. I won't fish anymore because I don't want to hurt a fish. I do eat fish.. but I can't be the one to fish for them.

Judging the way you talk about that animal, how your concern extended so much to it, means you have a good heart. Animals are meant to be cared by humans since we are given brains - I believe so. And hey, that's very nice of you call someone for the animal, it really shows the goodness within you. I hope there are a lot of people like you rather than individuals who had the notion of getting fried pigeon for their dinner. Continue your good deeds and it shall come back to you.

Personally it does not really matter whether it be animals or humans, but anymore, it seems like people are always too busy to want to stop and help someone or something. They usually do not want to be bothered, or think it would take too much time or it will get them in trouble. Maybe someone did not want to report this due to thinking they would have to incure the costs as well. Just glad that there are people out there like you, and you did all you can do.

I love animals...I always have. I would go the extra mile to save just one if I could. I am so glad that you are one to take the time to do so as well. I think that people have come to take for granted how amazing animals are and how precious they are to us and the world we live in. We have lost so many animals to extinction and I just hate the thought that we might lose more someday.

Hi Sjvg, nowadays it is hard to come by that every human who willing to care for animals. Most of the time, animals are being abused without knowing what they had done wrong. I do felt pity to see and read through newspapers about what had happened to animals. Sometimes i think, we humans are more selfish and cruel than animals. i am happy to see at least, there are still some good Samaritans around who willing to helps taking care and provide those stray animals with food and a shelter.

I love pets, animals (domestic or not) I also feel sorry watching videos about animal cruelty, there's a lot in youtube and it breaks my heart. I don't know why people are so cruel to animals. Why don't they shot it or hit directly to kill...and not killing the animal/s softly like toys (duh)

I also don't understand why people become so cruel when it comes to life of animals. We have crossed the limits of cruelty.

Hi sjvg: I must admit that I don't care too much about animals. I have a dog and I love my pet but I'm not an activist. I don't like animal suffering but I must admit that I don't have an active role taking care of animals ALVARO

Hello starsailors, Don't worry friend its OK that you don't care much for the animals but hope you don't create anything to make them suffer. But i must say you should think about these innocent creatures as they need our help as there are many things which they can't do without our help.

Well, I don't have a super intimate care for animals but my family members have pets and I do the simple tasks like feed, walk, and care for them! I'll feed a stray and care for other animals every now and then but I don't think I'd ever want a pet unless it's a big dog to protect my home when I'm away! It's beautiful that you have such a prominent care for them!

No animal is ever a burden to me. I don't think any person has ever been a burden to me either, though. I try to care for all living things as much as I can, even if I hate certain people. I just try to separate myself from the things that I don't like as much. But when it comes to animals, I've never felt burdened before, and I've had a lot of pets! The thing I hate the most is when people complain about deer. I lived in the country for around seven years. If you drove carefully around the backroads when it got dark, then you'd be fine with the deer population. If you sped twenty over recklessly, you could total your car, but who's fault is that really? Animals aren't a burden. They're a gift.

Maybe the person that hit the bird didn't realize they even hit it. I don't think you should judge someone because they accidentally hit an animal while driving. It was probably a genuine accident and people hit animal all the time. It is sad and terrible to see but most of the time there isn't much we can do. I blame humans for building roads in the first place on land that originally home to many animals..

Hello Alyssum, It is actually the problem as we human beings have occupied this earth and left less space for animals to live. That's right accident can be an accident but it was irritating to see people seeing the pigeon in pain but not doing anything for it. Secondly the place where i have described is a busy place and its not a place where people can even run vehical up to 40Kmh so the person who had hit this pigeon must have noticed that he has actually hit something but that fellow did not bother to see what he hit.

I love animals. I feed in my garden cats, turtle doves and other birds. It is difficult to believe, but two years ago I fed a couple of blackbirds, and one day I heard a noise at my door. I opened it. It was the female blackbird who was knocking at my door with her beak, and she was there with all her kids. She wanted to introduce me to her family before going away : it was too touching. I also kept during 9 years a gray squirrel that I found injured in a wood -- it was a baby that I fed first with milk, and I could not put it back in nature --. I am not sure that all people are still human beings when they are driving : some are even not stopping when they hurt a person... I have been punished once : I was following a herd of cows walking in the middle of a small road in the countryside, gave a toot and... a cow sat on my car ! The cow has not been injured, but the car has been seriously wounded.

Hello Topffer, Oh so nice to know that you are truly an animal lover. But there are lot of people who don't want to love animals they just kill animals for their own use. On several places i see a bullock carts and the driver just beat an ox/horse so that it may run fast how sad it is? People just to have more milk from cows and buffaloes don't allow their kids to drink milk imagine what a pity a baby is not allowed to feed its mother's milk. There are plenty of examples which we see actually but things are not in our control. Its people who should understand that animals also have their lives and we should understand their feelings too and in order to take our work from them we should not beat them. I still get upset whenever i imagine the scene when the person would have hit that pigeon that's rediculous why we react as if animals don't have lives.

Aww.. that's so sad. Pretty much, animals are ranked with domestic pets such as dogs and cats rated as the most important animals with pigeons being the lowest rank. People think that pigeons are basically burdens on society, picking up food scraps, picking out in bins and spreading possibly diseases. Pretty much, because of us, that's why they're hanging about because of all the rubbish we're littering. The pigeons even choke and die from eating the waste we throw about. There are people out there who are really cool and don't care about animals because their life cannot be compared to a human's life. I remember sitting on the bus one day and the bus driver all of a sudden stopped in the middle of the road. She quickly got out and got back in. At first I thought she removed something off the road but turned out she got a parrot in her hands that got stuck on the road because its wings were broken. The bus driver drove with the parrot clinging on to her. She was such a hero.

Hello Triple, That's right cats, dogs are rated higher than other animals but we forget life is important for every animal we cannot animals helpless which are not good for us. Rats are harmful for us but still i don't prefer to kill them instead i catch them in cage and leave them in forest. That's right animal's life cannot be compared with human beings but still they have the right to live on this earth.

This world is getting so crue, not only with animals , remember the case where a little girl was hit by a car??? the news was that nobody inmediatly after the accident looked after her. Take a conclusion from there. People always have been so crue to animals, they used them to work and didnt take care of them . And nowadays , I am feeling that still are getting crue even they take them home they want them to be like an ornament or a muppept they carry them on their purses , they dont let them walk because they are going to get dirty and they are carry them all the time , they dont need that , they need more freedom, just let them be. Have a good day mylot friend.

Hello Safety, Yes i remember that small baby been hit by a car that was extreme cruelty case.I understand when we don't care about lives of human beings then its rediculous to talk about animal's lives from us.I have also seen people using animals for their amusement.I also have seen people keeping pets but don't take care of them as they should.I feel its better for them not to keep pets then if they can't do justice with them.

Wow, that sucks! I hate people like that! I love animals and have ever since I was a kid! I found an injured butterfly when I was young and helped it fly again. I've also rescued several cats. There was one stray that was very timid, but she got to know me and only I could approach and even hold her. She allowed me to get close to ehr kittens and put them in new homes when they were old enough. I've also saved a few spiders and similar critters when other people would've just squashed them! I also once saw a tarantula on the road in the country, but did not move it. I later returned to find it run over, and was angry that I didn't move it earlier. Animals deserve a lot more respect than that person gave, but sadly they often do not get it.

Hello mommyzhuuraan, Really its pleasure for me to read that you help a lot to animals.Oh yes animals deserve respect from human beings which they often don't get as we human beings are so selfish that we think only for us and don't think of others but we should understand that this earth is for all creatures and we have no right to kill/torture them for our use.

Hello Noscarl, Thats what i also expected from the person who actually hit that pigeon. How mean he is? How can someone take life of anyone when he can't give life to anyone.I always think why there is no law for them who does this when we have a law for them who kills human beings?.
