I started writing my diary when I was in grade school. What's so funny about it? About crushes are there, kilig moments are there especially excitement. You really take note all details like time, where, when and to whom you talk about it. Oppppssss, no one can deny that every time you write a diary, there is always a smile mark in your face but there is always sad moment. Secrets are included that no one will know except you. It compose of happenings in your daily life like you have an LQ of your boyfriend/girlfriend, having a financial problem, misunderstanding with your friend or best friend and etc.. That's one of my hobby, writing a diary noted my past experience. Anyone there love it too? Anyone there same to me?

I started one 5 years back and I wrote every incident of the day in my diary at night. I kept it safely hiding from my parents, friends and family members. Those days were really interesting.
I read the diary dew days back and I was like how stupid I was wasting time on those things which I should not have done. It also makes me realize that I am growing up and I am taking up with my responsiblties.

Some here in my lot, likes to write a journal because this is some kind of a diary that includes personal happenings. In your case you really hide it from your parents,LOL. What kind of incident is it and why you hide it? Nowadays diary is out, because mostly focus in some other things and you're right, even me, i really don't have time in writing my diary. I stopped when I was in College till now I didn't go back on my hobby before because same of you I have also responsibilities on my own and I have to focus on other important matters :).

There were so many incidents like, when I started smoking, how it feels when I smoked my first puff. My parents are completely against these bad habits. So I had to hide those words from my parents.
And yes I have too read so many people using mylot as a form of dairy they write their daily happenings. It is a good idea while keeping your hobby for making money.

That's really a bad habit because it will cause a worst result to your lungs. I used to advice those smokers not to smoke but thanks some of them listen to me. Anyways, you can avoid it if you're willing to leave that habit :).
Here in mylot, I enjoyed so much because lots of things I can learn from other members like tips and advice. Thanks to all of you. I'd love being an active member in mylot :).

I used to write a diary when I was a girl, I read the dairy of Anne Frank and that got me writing my own diary. I used to like writing in my diary and did so for quite a long time, it was full of my feelings etc.
A friend and I always used to buy a diary at the end of the year ready for the new year, we made sure that it was small but had a page a day in it. We used to see how could write in it for the longest before we got fed up writing in it! We never made the full year.
I started a diary a few years ago, I found it in the cupboard a year or so back, it now sits in my underwear drawer unread as I dare not read it back, it was when I was a bit sad and I don't want to go back there again. So I may read it one day or I may just throw it away

I remember I was about 8 or 9 years old, I even invented an alphabet I wrote in, just to make sure nobody understood what's in it.It seems funny now when I think of it,but then...it was such a big deal,I even gave it a name, it was like a friend I talked to.Now I wish I kept writing a diary, because I always keep forgetting things that I sometimes would like very much to remember.

It would be better of you to start writing a diary if you're interested. If you think that would be the best way to remember something important, so just do it and make it a hobby friend :).

I started owning a diary when I was in Elementary school, grade 6 in particular. I still remember that it was hello kitty mini notebook and that my post was about my Music teacher whom I had a crush on *_* I did not write everyday thought but when I started high school, that was when I found my love for writing.
I still have my old diaries with me and when I read them, it gives me a feeling of happiness. It also makes me want myself again. There is something about me as a teenager that I find so likeable. Not that I turned into something monster now. I guess I could say that I can read through my diaries how I used to have so much insight and interest about life. I guess as we grow older, life just gets boring. Or maybe it's just me.
Anyway, since the dawn of computers, handwriting has been a pain to me because I got used to typing. Perhaps my thoughts just run faster than my hands so now instead of writing in a diary, I blog ^_^

I wanted to start one, and i did but never got to do it for more than a week. Other things occupy my time. So instead, i write a journal in which i write on from time to time.
