What is your opinion on reality shows?

Yes i watch such show... These shows that let me realize that things doesnt work without the script...it seems it is reality but the truth it is still manipulated by the show itself and what really the outcome that the directors wants. The youth of today are easily moved by the prizes that the TV networks are giving....because of the prize they started to keep their foot on line for the reality shows audition.. By this mindset the parents are needed to guide the youth of today for the better future... A future with the real life shows and not within the parameters of the cameras...

I used to watch them a lot more, but lately I've been having a lot of anxiety, and the constant drama shown on those shows can make it a lot worse. It's hard to watch petty and outrageous shows like that when you have so much of those things going on in real life. When we all have to face drama on a daily basis, I don't get why we'd want to see it on tv too.

I use to watch a lot of reality shows like Big Brother and Survivor. There comes a point where its time to find something else to do during the time of the show. Most of my friends have stopped watching both of them. The winner of the first Survivor really turned me off from the show, as not paying tax on your winnings is a crime. I know he served his time, but its just wrong. There are so many reality shows and the person that mentioned the shows that follow real life people are the ones I'm more drawn to now. My husband like Ice Road Truckers. What a hard job!

I personally think reality shows have overtaken on our tv screens and there are far too many on the telly these days, most of them are tashy. Big Brother was very good when it first started and I watched all of them up to about series 5, then started watching them and gave up because they became boring. Haven't long finished watching English A factor, this is not as good as it used to be, but we watch this show as a family and it is still regarded new to the children so it is watch able and semi good. I'm a celb is still quite good and can be quite funny. Other than those I do watch Britain's got talent which is still good as its not been running as long as the others. But I think as long as the public keep watching these shows eveb if they are bad then they will still keep cunrhing them out for us to watch

I am not a big fan of reality shows. I used to watch Pinoy Big Brother but I don't it is not very interesting and besides, I don't think it is that "reality" so much because the housemates know that there are cameras everywhere so they don't really act naturally. However, I enjoyed watching The Biggest Loser because there is a lesson that one can get from it. It takes discipline, dedication, persistence, and family support to be able to conquer weight and eventually shed them off. I admire those who really did their best to meet the challenges for it changed their lives. There are reality shows that gives lessons and inspires others while there are those that are just playing with other people's feelings and emotions as well as relationships.

I think that Big Brother type of shows are boring and mind numbing... bunch of people in a house doing nothing... everyone wants to look as entertaining so they are pretty much ready to anything to stay in the house. But thats the type of program people want i guess... they don`t want to think about nothing after they come home after a long days work.

First, you have at least 4 types of reality shows. There are the big brother, survivor, and I'll throw in Jersey Shore type shows.Those shows seem to come up with a way to screen out normal people and come up with rude, obnoxious, or stupid people because I guess average people are boring. Next you have the Ozzy Ozborne, Kate plus, Real Wives of Wherever, where we get to supposedly follow people around that we wouldn't want to know. (Who decided that the Kardashians deserve to be on TV.) Then there are shows like pawn Stars or American pickers people sometimes seem to be taken advantage of by others that are more knowledgeable. Lastly there are shows about people doing their normal jobs like Ice Road Truckers or Swamp Loggers. Most of these shows are on TV because they are cheap to make. The only ones I watch are the last category where the people are more real even if you might not want to know all of them.

I watched this shows years ago. When the first big brother in our country was on air it was interesting for me what is this show like and after that the other seasons wasn`t interesting no more and i stoped watching them. On this how they effect the youth it`s different depend of the show and of the person. I think that some of the youth people don`t think that all the stupid things made in this type of shows are good and don`t do them after they see them and there are others who do all of this things. And again it depends also on the type of the show, because there are reality shows like american idol for example which don`t show stupid thing that people do.

I sort of stray away from reality shows lately. They're all full of drama, humiliation, and sloppiness. I don't mind some educational reality shows. I love the DIY Network. However, as far as those trashy reality shows they show on VH1 and MTV, they're starting to get old. People just like watching drama at other people's expense. It's actually sad if you think about it.

I personally don't watch reality shows. There is way to much drama in them. I have enough things to concern myself with. There is always something that needs to be done around the house, or I could come on mylot and earn instead of watching them. I try to use my time wisely so as to get the most out of it, and hopefully earn the most as well.
