but when I opened it, no one has greeted me yet. I saw 3 other people have birthdays today, so I took the time to write on their wall my bday greetings. I honestly did not want to feel sad, but I did felt sad. How selfish of me, I think! The day has just began and everyone has a commitment on their own such as their own family, their work, etc. But, before 7:00am, I received text msgs from my mom, my former officemate who is a good friend, one of my bosses who will be absent this am, and email from one of my bosses, and by 7:15am, 3 bosses and my 2 officemates greeted me personally, and someone from another dept came by and knew it's my bday so greeted me,too. a student was told also that it's my bday and greeted. then between 7:30-8am, another officemate came to greet with a card from her boss, and another officemate greeted me along the way. That's not bad! and just a while ago, Now, while writing this, I suddenly felt better looking at and dealing with the situation this way. :) Proves all the more that we must take the time to write down good things, keep note of what's positive and forget (or put less emphasis) the negative. count the blessings, instead. Another reminder for me! I guess, naturally, people(I, specially) do expect in a certain way to get many greetings on their bday. Don't you think? How about you? do you expect or not at all? would you mind if people forget esp the ones closest to you like siblings and close friends? oh, I just wish and pray for a blessed birthday!
