according to CNN report NAIA is one of the most hated airport in the whole world in addition to its received tag recently being one of the worst airport. NAIA was cited by critics as having filthy restrooms, and other things which creates negative impression to both local and international tourist and traveler. this failing structural and unappealing amenities is made worst or beleaguered by ground crew strikes which result to hampered services and prolong period of required processes which results to cramming lines of waiting clients likely to be compared to typhoon victims waiting for relief goods. this negative development inflict wounds to our country again specially to the tourism and investment sector. to pacify everyone NAIA is only number 5 on the list while FRance rank the most hated airport second by LOs Angeles, US.. at least were not the number one hated. but to think of it the government should do something to improve these prime installations specially airports which are the gateway of the world to our country if we want these people make a share to our progress. instead of pursuing old problems in the past why not learn from it and improve what is still remains and existing. what can you say on these issue as a Filipino?

As a frequent traveler, I could easily compare all the best airports but Philippines I just ignore it. truly airports are the gateway to ones country. The structure it self mirrors the whole country. No wonder as I could say we had a bad image because it all reflects on our structure and NAIA is one of those.
If you would try to check Bangkok airport has been awarded as one of the best airport in the world, Singapore and China followed as well. And now Philippines the worst!
If we are to fix everything, then we should start with our governance. Those people seated with power has not done anything right for the Philippines.
I hope those planned renovation on the NAIA1 will be soon materialized. We are losing to much on the tourism side because of this. We've been left behind by Thailand when it comes to Tourism.

recent public statement of Pnoy in Hawaii in an interview, he said that the government is doing well and there are surplus on every departments, he quote that his government defer borrowing because of the good governance and of his fight with corruption. he said also that former problem is where to borrow money, now because of surplus in the budget their problem is where to spend these surplus? do you believe him? i just laugh about this of course. if this is true then what are they waiting for, there are many things to do, and may people don't have jobs, many families are getting hungry while our government is saying they have lots of budget surplus.

it is true that our ninoy aquino international airport needs to be improved structurally to be able to be at par with neighboring airports in asia. the two best airports are in singapore and hongkong. we can take lessons from there. i think our airport can be improved, and it is not hopeless. we know that tourism brings in money to the country and employs people. this is our chance to improve many Filipino lives, starting from attracting tourists in our country.

you're very right in saying this. airport are gateway to what really is our country, oftentimes we fall short of the expectations of other people who had come to the Philippines for a closer look of what we project to them in our campaign about the beauty and uniqueness of the country, yet we fail even to the most basic services of a good and trouble free access to our airport. and mind you first impression last. so why not improve these facilities and these people will not even desire to revisit but also tell others of the good things about our country. not like this telling the world that what we have is filthy restrooms. so shameful..

Improvements always need to be made. if you would go to international airports of bigger countries, of course we would assume that we are incomparable; but then it comes to cleanliness i think we should not allow our country to be branded as such. its totally absurd - what's so hard about being able to clean restrooms? it needs not billions, i would suppose but better management by those that are in the place!
Anyway... i am yet to see improvements for this country, in all aspects - i will start comparing when i know we already are trying something for our country.

I have heard and watched the news about this matter and yes, improvement and upgrades are in the plans. It is of course an important issue, but I guess as long as it is tolerable then I guess we can improve it little by little. Plus, sometimes it is also on the management that causes these types of long waiting processes.

There is no perfect airport and even the place..I think just need improvement and the government should look to it and care about it,because it is shame for some people that will come and visit..
Hope this will improve there..
