Lolong is now the biggest crocodile ever caught in the whole world in Bunawans creek in Agusan Del Sur and Nat Geo has proven it and give funds to take care of the health of the crocodile. Lolong has a total length of 20.3 feet long which really a long one and weights approx. 1075 kg and it is really heavy crocs out there. The big question is how these people are able to trap this big crocodile with a very superior power and doubted that have eaten a man.? And people of Agusan says that they are also planning in getting the bigger crocodile in the Bunawans Creek/river, How big and large this second crocodile do you think? Although Lolong was named after the great crocodile hunter from palawan, Ernesto "lolong" Canete. =)

I think Pangil is 18 feet. I'm not sure though. I would like to see Lolong in person. I can't imagine how big he is by just seeing on the picture and television.

Oh yes, i saw that one on TV. The crew of National Geographic came here and measured Lolong after he was put to sleep with a sedative. They were so amazed that he is how many feet longer and bigger than that at the Guiness Book of Records. Now, the Philiipines has got another one for Guiness! Hurray.

Not sure. It's precisely like in the movie. It's the fact that the crocodile is only baby, but they never caught its mom or dad which is surely bigger than its baby. Hopefully, the second crocodile would be larger and bigger than the first one, so they did not break their record of course as the biggest crocodile ever caught in the whole world.

I think this is a good lesson for all of us on what honor and pride we can get for our country if only we protect our environment as as well as our natural resources that God and mother nature has bestowed upon us unselfishly but sorry to say some people at times destroy due to greed and ignorance

I agree these greed and ignorant people who destroys our nature should stop what they are doing and should be punished accordingly to avoid the extinction of these unique animals in our country that is truly the wealth of our country.

I think the government should invest more on things that can only be seen in our country. Lolong for example, if international organization can provide funds for this amazing creature, How can our government provide sufficient fund to watch over the endangered species that we have? Consider the case of Tamaraw, this animal can only be found in Mindoro Philippines but their population is depleting rapidly due to hunting. There might be a program that watch over this animal but fund is not enough hence not enough manpower to oversee these endangered species.

Maybe the government can also give small fund and attention to these animals but what is needed now is to fight for the hunger and poverty in our country since it the bottom reasons why people try to catch these endangered species of animals and sell it to the market to be able to feed their family or their self. Isn't be good if the government can remedy the bottom reason of these activities and can prevent the disastrous effects.

Wow...that is a big crocodile! Maybe they figured out a way to get enough tranquilizer in him to at least slow him down some. No way I would try to catch a crocodile that was 2 feet long much less that big beast.

I agree maybe many dose of tranquilizer are been shot to the crocodile so they are able to get that big crocodile especially in his own territory. I will be also afraid to catch these reptiles since I'm not trained to catch maybe I'll just watch how they catch these animals.

I think the second crocodile that wish to have media publicity wants to travel abroad to seek medical attendance. But I don't think the hunters would let it go away, hunting Crocodile is sweeter the second time around.

Maybe that is another crocodile who are you talking about and he is such a scarier reptile and having all alibis just to get out of her cage. Maybe it is harder to catch this if they will let him go away.

These animals are not truly dangerous but because they natural habitat are being intrude by people it is why they also become dangerous because they also sense threat that they might lost their habitat. lets just don't harm any animals and they will also don't do anything bad to human.
