CMA Awards

I really did not watch the show but because I live in Nashville I heard all about it. There was a scam going on here where several women were duped out of their money for tickets to the event and hotel rooms. The nice citizens of Nashville not only got them more tickets but also secured rooms for them.

I watched part of the CMA awards, I had to find some of em on YouTube because I forgot they were on. I like Brad Paisley hosting, but can live without Carrie Underwood hosting, I like some of her songs, but sorry some of her songs just grate on my nerves. What people seem to forget about Entertainer of the Year, and yes Taylor Swift was deserving of the award, is that its not just about their music, its about what they bring to country music as a package, fans, money they've made, endorsements, etc. Taylor Swift is known to not always sing in key but her songs are relating to people her age, the question will be can she continue to relate to people as she grows older with her music, or will she be writing songs about love and breakups for someone else to sing. I loved the Footloose version and as m uch as Kenny Loggins didn't like whate Blake Shelton did with the song, I felt his voice lended better to the song, and he and Kenny Loggins sounded great together. A great way to kick off the night. The people that I truly love in countyr music get little recognition, and that is Joey and Rory, they are down to earth great people who don't seem to be putting on an act for the cameras.

I gotta say I don't like the new country singers. The music is more like pop and rock music anymore. I like Hank III and Shooter Jennings but they too play more of a country rock style.

I did not watch the CMA awards. I used to but I don't like watching award shows anymore. I heard Hank Williams Jr. Spoofed his Fox Interview when he slammed Obama,on the CMA's. Of course I know Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosted again. I can'tstand their duet! She sounds like she is screaming when she does her part at the begining! It is like listening to a crow screaming! I was disappointed Taylor Swift won Entertainer of the year! Her songs are really getting redundent and she doesn't deserve that award! I wish she would disappear and never come back! I hate her because I had no idea what I would do at 12 and she did! She got a recording contract at 15 and now she is a mega star! She doesn't deserve the darn fame! She got it to easy! I doubt she really appreciates her awards! She is also creepy looking! At least her eyes are! I just don't like her! I hope her career is over soon! Thanks for listening to my rant!

Well, there is something I failed to watch and would have truly enjoyed. Now, I will have to follow up with CMT on their website. Thanks for bringing this up. LOL
