If by 'more effective' you mean that it would bring in more earnings then you will probably be disappointed.
You earn for your own activity, not for that of others and giving responses is not what erns for you here. MyLot is for discussions, back and forth comments onctopics of your interest. If you are just going to post responses then it makes no difference at all whether you post them on discussions started byt new or older Lotters. It is what YOU write that will cause earnings for yourself.

Indeed this is not the first time that I, and others, have tried to advise as to how to use myLot

Hi mysdianait, I am clarifying my views. On several occasions my responses have been deleted as the original question was deleted for violation of terms and conditions of mylot. So all my efforts were in vain. You may ask me why I responded to those topics. It is no doubt my vault to go against the terms and conditions of mylot. But whenever any discussion attracts me, I cannot resist the temptation of responding to it without caring for the ultimate outcome. But if I only respond to discussions started by some selective mylotters who are always well aware of the terms and conditions of mylot and work accordingly, my hard toil would never go in vain. Thus it would definitely help me to use mylot in a more more effective way.

What are your aims at mylot, Doctor Didi? Because I suppose that depending on that is what you do. I have here some real friends online. Although I don´t have time to answer all their posts, I always read what they post. That would be a sort of selection. Another one is a selection by interests. I also do that. I read the titles of the posts of my interests and answer the ones that get my attention.

I also receive at least once a week a notification like thaose by mylot. But I knnow that rhere are some kinds of discussion in which there´s more risk of that happening. I take my risk and sometimes I lose. But the pleasure of talking with nice people about interesting topics is worth the rubbish.
Take care!

The responses by different mylotters often show that more or less all of us have the same mentality. Sometimes we think that this topic or this response may be deleted and even often we are sure of its fate of deletion, but we cannot resist our temptation.

As I am not selective in choosing the discussions, sometimes I waste my time as well as energy in discussions that have only a temporary attraction for me but no long lasting effect on me. I become tempted and then receive a notification in my email box that my answer has been deleted as the original question has been deleted on the charge of violation of terms and conditions of mylot. So if I respond only to those selective mylotters who always try to abide by the rules and regulations of mylot, that chance of deletion is quite less.

I don't have time to do this. I am still trying to catch up from the problems and the slow down that came from it. I always have the responses and discussions sent to my inbox and that way I can hurry answer all my friends. I think that doing things your way would slow me down considerably.

The home page has it - all topics grouped under various heads. You will benefit more if you picked your topics from here. There are drop down menus to choose from. Unless you know myLotters inside out how will you know which myLotters to visit?

What is it that made you arrive to make this this decision my friend? Kindly clarify since some things isn't so clear to me, I would like to assume that a lot of discussions you responded to were deleted? I'm not really sure so kindly elaborate some more in what you mean. How could doing that be more effective to your activities here at Mylot?

Yes, you are right, a lot of responses given by me were deleted and as a result all my hard labour was without any reward. Please go through my feedback to the previous response and you would get the answer.
