Cats as Food

Exotic food like snake, toad, rodents, can be served on my plate, but to consume a pet is a big No, for me, since cats are recognized as a domestic pet they were considered as human friends, I just cant bare to eat the meat of which I consider a friend.

Well indeed some siopao dealers use cat meat. I can testify to that. When I was in college I have a classmate whose family owns a siopao factory. We were invited in their house one day and you know when we were about to leave we passed through the backdoor of their house and what I found there is a big trashcan filled with heads of cats. I could not believe it but that confirmed the fact that they were using the meat of the slaughtered cats as siopao fillings. They are actually catching stray cats and also buying live cats for this purpose.This is the very reason why I don't eat siopao. Never!

I personally do not think humans are meant to be eating meat anyway but the thought of the beautiful cat being eaten makes me sick, why do we humans think that anything is food fodder for us, why is their life so unimportant..animals have feelings, a will to live and a soul, what gives us the right.

I am vegetarian .Cats are lovely creature and i would never it cats meat unless i am dying. I think there are parts in this world where people are too poor and literally eat anything available there.I wont judge them.If they have alternative they wont do that. I think there is one more dimension to this.You see meat here in India is costly so there are hotels here who are killing stray cats and mixing that in meat dishes to make it cheap.This is something i read in local newspaper and i was chocked. So here in my city there are people who are eating cat meat and are completely unaware they are doing it.

That is seriously horrible. Why do they have to eat cats? They are so cute and adorable, just like a real baby. What was the reason behind this? Do they have nothing else to eat? Maybe they can just be vegetarians, my goodness! I will never try to eat a pet, cat or dog. I treat them as a family, like a human. So, it's just like eating a human, like a cannibal.

This is disgusting. They should be condemned because of that. Cats are sweet and lovely creatures and they are not for human consumption. If everything that human has, they'll eat then what's going to be left? I heard some news regarding people eating fetus and that was so demon. I think that these people, those who eat creatures not there to be eaten should realize what they are doing and stop it as soon as they can". They are nothing but a bunch of ignorant and ill minded individual who happened not to value life. Again, cats are sweet pets with lovely eyes and they should be keep as in not as a menu on the table.

i lived in one of the remote place in the philippines for a month... no electricity, no transportation and they eat the things that you listed above... they eat dogs too and its sold over a dollar... i was there to learn peoples' culture and means of living but the thing is i really can't stand their customs. some times i feel a bit alienated for i don't really fit in... i was ok with everything other than their menus just can't bare it... "di ko talaga kaya eh!" i don't know if i am going back there even if they raise the money...

No way! This is disgusting... I could not even think of eating a cat. They're so cute to be butchered and eaten. They're pets. I cannot even stomach eating expensive exotic animals. When I was a child I used to see some male neighbors butchering a dog, cooking and eating it. I can't stand it hearing them cry while they were killing the dog
