India

I just made my blogspot blog a dot com one. The blogspot blog had a PR2. But after changing to the custom domain, I checked the PR and surprised to see that the page rank is N/A. What I have to do to get my old ranking.Any suggestions?

I think it might go back to the original ranking but may takes sometimes. I would advise you to continue doing as much as you were doing.

As far as I know, the PR is associated with a URL as you may know. You check the PR of the URL. So now as you have a new domain, you obviously have a new URL, right? So how can there be the same PR to a new URL? It is going to disappear for sure. However, it is a pretty normal process and there is nothing to get serious or worried about. Do what you were doing. Work and again and that's what I can tell you at the moment. You have to start afresh. And I am sure you will again reach the same PR level as you had before.

Hi Josechukkiri, you can wait for a while until the next page rank update. It should go back to the former PR2, but you must continue to get incoming links to the new domain. Anyway page rank has nothing to do with the search engine page result. You can continue to do the usual work to get in more traffic, and more incoming links, so that each webpage can rank high.

Congratulations for your dot com. But with regard to the PR thing I am not sure about it. If it is N/A meaning to say it goes back to the very beginning. That was what I got when I added mine too but later on it becomes zero. my dot com is already 4 months now and it remains z e r o :-( Happy 11-11-11 josechukkiri

Hello, same thing happened to me when I changed my domain name to a customize domain I bought two months ago. I checked my page its Page rank zero, before its Page rank 1 and after a month it has back again to Page rank 1. Just wait and everything will be okay!

The Page Rank is tag to the domain, so if you change domain your page rank would be renew. So you have to work your way back, but having your own domain is still better, you can later use for your own host if you want to. At the moment you get to index your domain and create some backlinks.
