Knowledge is a good foundation, yes; but knowledge without "practice" is NOTHING! I think our new friend is wanting to know the actions to take.
That said, start by discussing: starting discussions, responding to other people's discussions, replying to responses on your discussions, replying to others' reply's to your responses, etc.
Each of your discussions/responses has an address, and you can use this address to link to the discussion/response in your blogs or on your Facebook (or other social-network) profile & -connections.
If you read the myLot-pages above, you'll find the secret to moving your myLot-income from 'one respond-er' to 'many respond-ers': referrals! And the way to get referrals is just to add the code myLot gives you to whatever-address, and--if they like what they see and are encouraged to join--they'll sign up 'under you' (in your referral-tree), giving you an extra credit-percentage for all their work.
But that means you've got to provide a good example and keep up the discussion work and encourage your downliners to do the same for their downliners!

I've found that you learn more by submitting quality responses that are each more than four lines long. Proper spelling and punctuation is a plus too, but I've found the depth and length of the responses mean a bit more to whoever decides what we get paid. I love it here, it's definitely worth it.

welcome to mylot, you can earn here by participating on every discussion that was posted, you can also earn by completing a task, you must post your discussion according to your interest and response on it, and response to others mylotters discussion, in that way you can earn money here.

hi boss one thing i can help u is that u keep on posting in mylot( only perfect and with good communication skills) and what ever u answer it must to be a point to the question and appropriate and straight to the question,add as many friends u can, post as many as u can,add intrests more ,start new disscutions daily and be online as much as u can..
lets try this ...iam also a new one here so lets being our journey .

Communication is not a criteria on mylot. Best part is the discussion is not grammatically checked. It checks how much value we added to the discussion. There are many who have good reputation with average communication on mylot

Reading FAQ's is the first step to understand how mylot works and how the earnings would be. If you are lazy to read lengthy FAQ's, get ready to do mistakes and learn but ensure it wont cost a ban.
I can give few tips and tricks to start off(basics)
1. Participate in the discussions in different interests. Ensure you add value to the discussion. Tag the discussion with relevant keywords.
2. Start a discussion, when some one respond comment back to them.
3. Do not forget to mark BR(Best Response) for every discussion started by you
4. Rate the discussion + or -
5. Once you reach 100 posts you will see a star which resembles your reputation. Increase your reputation by posting quality posts.
6. Use search before starting a discussion and check is the discussion is already there.
7. You can work on Mylot tasks to increase your earnings
8. If you are good at finding referrals, get them. It will help you increase your earnings. Mylot pays 25% of your referral earnings.
9. Make a lot of friends, help fellow members and expect the same in return.
10. Do not post affiliate links or personal details like mail id's in the discussion, your post will be deleted.
11. Last but not the least, do not spam and respect all.
Initially it looks all new, but will get used to it when spending more time on it.
