My everyday bag is huge and I keep a lot of things inside.. I have my mobile phone, tissues, a small haibrush, a lipgloss and gums, my purse, cigarettes, my keys, a pen in case I want to note something and some useless things like receipts from stores, used bus tickets, leaflets etc. So basically my bag is a mess and when I need to find something I keep looking at the bottom, trying to find it with my hands! Does this happen to you as well or you are more organised?

Lol. That's a lot of things that you carry in your bag. Hehehe.. Sometimes, my bag gets messy too but only at the end of the day. It happens to me too when . I try to find something inside my bag, it would take me several minutes just to find it. My bag doesn't have some sections in it, that's why. But it's really nice to have an organized bag. Finding things inside it won't give you a headache.

My sister would refer to my bag as 'BLACK HOLE!' Lol... I 'try' to be more organized since trying to look for things in my bag usually takes a lot of time and effort...I try to use bags or purses with different dividers inside so as not to stash my stuff in one big black hole. I used to carry big bags before and now I try to settle with smaller ones like a convenient purse and try to identify and carry only the things that I need like keys and cards. For those who are fond of using big bags, I've seen products or dividers that can be placed inside big bags in order to segregate your items. It will be good to try and look for something like that if you can. It would also help if we try to remember in which part of the bag we actually placed our things into...(^_^)

Thank you fortunebee!
The good thing that came out from my messy bag is that I have developed excellent object recognision ability and I identify the things in my bag by touch. :)
I can now find the lighter at the bottom without having to empty everything out of the bag!
I also found this interesting article for our messy bags.

Oh dear, you can always have a small pouch for your small things.
I do not want to keep digging my bag for things that I need.
I also put a lot of stuffs in my bag, but in orderly manner.

I don't know what to do with all tha receipts and coupons that I get in the stores and I carry them around in case I need them. They make the worst mess in the bag and by searching what other people with the same organisation problem do, I found out that there are seperate cute fabric wallets to store them and small pouches as you sail to keep everything in order. With this solution my purse will also look less stuffed.
I actually read that our bag should weigh less than 3 pounds (1.4 kg) to avoid having problems with our shoulders.

That happens when you have a huge bag because your things get seem to be buried deep down and you need to dig for those things when you need them. However, if you choose a bag that is regular in size but has plenty of pockets outside, and one or two pockets inside as well, the experience of having to dig for your stuff each time will be solved. I have such a bag now and I feel lucky to finally find the kind of bag I need. I also carry a lot of stuff with me but having a huge bag won't actually help. It makes the problem worst since it will be hard to be looking for things. It's like digging for them forever. With the bag I now I have, I put my keys in one of the outside pockets. I also put my cellphone in another outside pocket. My powder, lipstick, and pens are in another outside pocket. I place my money and everything else inside but since my bag now is short, it is easy to navigate and locate my stuff.

I initially bought my handbag because it had enough space to carry with me a medium size notebook for the university. I was looking for an oversized bag and the one that I found had no dividers. Now I just use it everyday and because it has so much space I keep carrying a lot of stuff inside. I have one more bag with dividers but it doesn't close with a zipper and I'm afraid of being stolen in the bus or the subway. I had lost my mobile phone with this bag in May.

That also happens to me lol. I just envy my office mates who are very organized. They have pouch bags for everything. When I looked at the inside of their bag, no items can be seen because they have several pouches where they put every single thing. I tried that, I bought lots of cute pouch bags but it didn't work for me . I find it hard to use because my bag becomes so full of the other small bags. After a week, I just remove all those and decided to let it be messy lol.

I don't really have a purse since I am a guy. lol. But I do have a wallet and it does get really kind of messy once in a while. Because I like to keep the receipts from the things that I have purchased. So around once a month, I take the time to get rid of the stuff that would make my wallet more cleaner. It really is nice to stay organized and clean.

My boyfriend has a wallet, but he puts everything in his pockets (receipts and all that paper stuff). The results is that when he comes home he is so bored to check what he needs and he leaves everything on the table next to his keys. It's not so different for what I'm doing but at the end his wallet stays clean.

I think the solution is simple. Throw away half of what inside your bag because its all trash. Second try to buy a bag that has a divider. Its much easy to organize if you have a divider or buy a big bag and a small bag. Put all small things in your small bag and the big things in your big bag along with your small bag.

I do use a tiny beauty kit sometimes but it is not very convenient for me. I am starting to conclude that the best solution would be to add pockets with a bag organiser. I am going to buy one and let you know if it works! Has anyone here used this kind of organisers in the handbag?

Oh dear you and I are kindred spirits!!! LOL I had to stop carrying a bag around because it gets so bulky, but I found an old purse that's still nice looking and has deviders, so I used half the purse for a mini-first aid kit, and the rest for my wallet and change, and visual aids. Finally I'm somewhat organised, hehehe
Of course, that's the only purse I have so I'll just use it for "proper" outings like church or meetings. Normally I'll just carry my rucksack around since I walk everywhere and don't drive, and it's useful to carry my shopping bags in it.

Yes it happens to me too. So what I do is mostly no bag at all or a very small one. But even in the small one I am able to search for a long time for my phone or key or it takes some work to get the driverslicense out of it.
But I never take a big bag with me anymore since I noticed that if you do so others find it easy if you carry their stuff with you around as well.

I think that you either need an arrangement or a good girl, that means you. Its been always like this, messy and busy.....I found a girl that keeps me telling to arrange the things but i never heard her, so when she is gone I understood that and slowly got that things and never forgot the place of thing, so basically the best way is, not to loose girl and keep the things on right side?
By the way, why don't you try some more pockets on your bag, I mean its kind of fashionable too....

Everyone laughs at my purse. I think it's the smallest one I've seen. I had the same problem as you. I had a big one and I carried EVERYTHING in it. Everyone that I owned would get so heavy that the straps would end up breaking. So I finally downgraded.
My purse now can ONLY (and I stress ONLY) hold: my wallet, phone, inhaler, smokes w/ lighter and medicine. Nothing else will fit into it. It's super tiny. I have to hook my keys on the outside of it because they wont fit on the inside! But oh well, I love it and it carries everything I need and nothing I "think" I need LOL.

Those surely are a lot of stuff inside a bag. There are inexpensive bag organizer you can try to hep you arrange your bad properly. With the help of that you can tidy the inside of your bag and it is hygienically relevant. Put in one pouch those things that you consume ,like gums, for they might got contaminated.

@besweet I rarely carry a large handbag. I have a small one that's enough room for purse, phone and keys. If I used a large handbag then it would be organised always because it would stress me out having to dig around looking for something. I have OCD too so I love being organised.
