I have come to the opinion the we are programing our citizens for hate. More and more I hear people in just common conversations expressing strong hate. This is not for person reasons, the hate is aimed at some one in the news, or a group of people in the news. Speaking of hate I would like to point out that this is what allowed the German people to be swept into the Nazi movement. Between the fear stirred up by the loss of WW1 and the ratical introduction of hate mongers like Hitler these people became involved almost without any conscious thought. Are we now headed down this same path. The fear is certianly here and everytime you turn on the tv you will find someone spreading hate. We can all help stop this, on the tv, don't listen, many of these programs receive e-mail, even during the show. Tell them to stop this, it's dangerous. Stop and think about the good things in this wonderful country we live in and fight fear. I know things are very hard for many, but even if we have 15% unemployment that means that 85% are employeed. Try thinking what can you do to make things better instead of just absorbing the negative side. Our boys and girls have fought for our freedom, don't throw it away. Blessings

I think it goes way beyond just the fact that america is a great country. I also do not think it's hate either. I think it is more of the fact that people are just plain fed up with all the double talk we are getting from government. On both side may I add. This government looks real stupid to the people these days because they just seem to be insulting each other. I don't see the problem being left against right, I see it as this country needs help and people want government to stop acting like children and start fixing the things needed to be fixed. We do need to bring industry back to this country and become proud again. This did not just start with Bush or Obama, This is something that was snow balling ever since the time of Nixon. It's only now that we are seeing the devastation that is caused. Old ideas no longer work, we need new ideas and new thinking. Also, once everything became a global market also hurt not only our economy, but all around the world.

Those are some very good points savypat. The media is notorious for trying to control the public and has been successful in the past for the most part. People are angry. They are discouraged and a little optimism is certainly in order to prevent things from getting out of hand. It is hard not to be afraid sometimes but what we do with that fear defines us. Take care.

Amen what you have said is very true and wise I can't watch the news because when I do I fell I am watching the world and human race come closer to the end as we know it. We all do need to stop and focus on the good in life because if you look for the bad in life you will find it and the news is very good at finding the bad in life. I just don't get how people can watch it

Hate shouldn't be spread, it's contagious and unhealthy. many people have faced terrible consequences, and most of them began from hatred which grows into something almost inescapable. people think too much about the negative but all they really do is complain. people must do good things and aim even for the most minor improvement. If everyone had that kind of mentality, then the people wouldn't be stagnant boiling hate to one another.
