How is your dorm room ?

I just came across dorm room when i looked at American houses. I belong to middle class family in India where dorm rooms are just concepts and never been implemented yet. I mean here not every family member do have a separate room to use. do you also belong to the same as i do, or have you been living in a dorm room. If you do, how is your dorm room ??
Let me know how does it sounds to live in dorm room.

If you mean dormitory ( for which 'dorm' is a short form) you are referring to a room which provides sleeping quarters for a number of persons. Most American homes provide a room for each single person unless they are very young, in which case 2 or more children may sleep in a single room. These single rooms are known as 'bedrooms.'
