...with Black Sabbath. They announced that they will be recording their first studio album in 33 years. metalunderground.com (video): http://www.metalunderground.com/news/details.cfm?newsid=73813 SoundSpike: http://www.soundspike.com/story/3293/black-sabbath-regroups-to-record-album-with-rick-rubin-tour/ I remember seeing Sabbath with this young, baby-faced lead singer doing Paranoid and Iron Man when they first rocked the USA in the '70s. We were all enthralled and mesmerized with this new band. Who would have guessed that over 40 years later, they would still be rocking, albeit with a little less hair, a little chunkier, older, and yes, a little wiser. Anybody else remember those old Paranoid days?

This is interesting how everyone from back in my day are trying to become Big hits again. I actually think this is Good as their music even though I may not have liked a lot of it is better than some of the music out there today. It will be interesting to see what happens with this.

It is hundred times better then 99 percent of what music comes out today. This music has everything - talented musicians, meaningfull lyrics and the power to unleash emotions.

Oh my, I know someone who'll be AMAZED at this news as she's Black Sabbath's No.1 fan! I've seen Ozzy play at Donington in the 80s I think it was, but it wasn't his headline gig, it was another time when he was lower down the order. He was brilliant and got the crowd going big time, something he's extremely good at. I've also seen Black Sabbath albeit with Tony Martin singing. I actually liked that line-up but not everyone did. The poor guy kept being compared to Ozzy. I always remember standing right in front of Tony Iommi and his cross that kept glinting in my eyes, virtually blinding me lol. I think they should've got together earlier than this but it's news to be welcomed, nonetheless! Thanks for letting us know.

Guess what, Janey? Tell your friend that Black Sabbath will be headlining the UK.s Download Festival on June 10. I saw Ozzy reunited with Black Sabbath at Ozzfest 2005 (which, incidentally, also featured Rob Halpern reunited with Judas Priest -- that was a GREAT Ozzfest!) I thought maybe then that Ozzy would go back with Sabbath, but no... Dio (RIP, I loved him too) resumed his lead singing responsibility and they recorded under Heaven & Hell. (Thanks to Ozzy's legal wrangling who did not want them to be known as Black Sabbath, his band. Glad to hear they have resolved their differences and are rocking together again!) BTW, they made their announcement at 11:11 AM on 11/11/11.

Well I remember Black Sabbath retrospectively, as I am 40 now. I was always a big Ozzy fan and I think it will be interesting to see what sort of music they put together. I actually saw a Black Sabbath/Ozzy reunion show in Detroit about 12 years ago and it was a great show.
