There are many things going wrong in the United States now, but what issue is the most important? What is the worst problem that should be fixed? I like to know what you guys think and I want to hear from those that don't live in the U.S. too and see what the international standpoint of the U.S.'s condition is.

The fact that we have politicians who I wouldn't trust in running a hill of ants, never mind a government is really something that is a problem. Of course, every time election comes along, we're really going to struggle to pick out the lesser of several evils from the potential candidates. It really is a frustrating situation but one is common. All politicians with a few exceptions have not really done that well.
Then naturally the economy, boy has it really taken a plunge. And the attempts to fix it have really made it worse. It is really a situation "of stop helping and wait for it to sort itself out." Then again, we really did reap this one with the excessive spending for years. It might have taken a few decades to catch up with it, but as we go into 2012, it's obvious that trying to help out other people in need and recklessly spending money, while noble, was not exactly the most feasible thing to do.

I think as a country we need to learn to take care of home first before we are constantly over committing ourself abroad. Our economy is in the toilet yet some how we keep finding money to stick our nose where it does not belong. It seems we are so intent on reminding the world that we are a super power and can influence any countries policies and decisions that we are neglecting to solve our own problems.
