Am I finally getting the motivation to do it?

I don't know, but if I ain't I really need to. There is a lot of stuff I need to get done, for my own sake, and yet I just don't. I need to though, and need to stop procrastinating because of it. One way is to get another savings account, I have one that takes a dollar everytime I use my debit card, which is fine, but I need another one that I can dump $20.00 a month in so that I will have it as extra "cushion" just in case. I need to figure out what I am going to do about other things as well, the moped situation. I need to save up to get myself a secured credit card. If I do that, I won't do the savings account though. I need to find an apartment and move out more then anything. I think Monday (when I am off) I may just go to the ones wherein they say they don't need a credit check and look at them, decide on them. Of course I'd still need transportation to and from work from them, so I would have to seriously work on saving etc. Ahhh so much to do, so much. I'm just too lazy. I think that putting it out in the open will help, I really need it to. I've thought of other options, finding places that allow section 8 and applying for that, but it could take forever, or not. I'd have to apply in other counties as the one I am in doesn't have it anymore, and even if they did it'd be in undesirable places anyway. ahhh.. so am I? I doubt it. What do you need to get yourself motivated this season?

Wow! That really sounds like a lot to do. In my case, what I try to do in order to get myself motivated is list down the things that I need to get done. By identifying the tasks that needs to be achieved and accomplished, I can make a checklist in my head by trying to do the simplest things first and then go down the list. I know that it is sometimes difficult to move whenever we are not energized but I try to remind myself that things won't happen if I just imagine it. Funny thing is, sometimes I wish that I had magic powers so I can just snap my finger or think in my head to make things move or get things done! How I wish...! But of course, it won't happen if I don't move a muscle...One of my ways also in getting energized is consume sweets. Getting sugar high helps me but I'm not sure about others. If getting sugar high is not good for your health, then use the best technique of mind over matter. If you won't start it then nothing will happen. Remember the NIKE commercial slogan...JUST DO IT!...(^_^) Hope this helps somehow...

Thanks so much. I think if I just weigh the pros and cons it will help me also. One thing I also need to do is make a goal of when to have moved out by. Say by January of next year and then take steps to achieve that. Saving up, buying things I need to help me get organized and packed, etc. I need to buy myself some containers especially. I've been telling myself I need to do that for awhile. I have gotten space bags and gotten some of that clothes packed. To be honest, most of the time I wear pajamas or my work clothes, if I go out I'll wear jeans and a t-shirt. Don't go out very often though, as I'm always working and my friends are always working, sooo... I think it will help, just admitting on here will help.

Yes, setting a goal is a start and since you've already started something, here's a chant in Japanese whenever they wish someone good luck...'GAMBARE!' meaning 'you can do it!' or 'fight!' or keep up the good work!' the word basically means, 'don't give up!' (^_^) I will send some good energy to you! (^_^)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! I know if I just get a few containers, I can get a lot done!

It seems there are many stuffs you need to do. Why not set up a scheule or plan to organize. I also have many things need to do, for example, joining examine to get some certification, like CPA,PMP,IELTS etc. It's easy to create a plan, but it's diffcult to follow up it. Anyway, it's better we have someting to do than nothing. Hope to move forward together.

You are right it is very much easy to create a plan but very hard to follow through on it. I hope we both accomplish our goals and what we set out to do, and soon.

Saving is the most important thing that you can do for yourself because, at the end of the day, none of us really know what's going to happen to us in the future which might mean that we need a little bit more money than we'd been anticipating needing at that time in our lives. I put at least $100 into my savings account each week (one lot of cash each time I get paid, and I get paid four times each month) and this is more than enough to "save for a rainy day" as many people might say. I am saving up for a flat as well, so this money will come in very handy when I am thinking about furnishing the flat in question.

No saving money is never easy, that is a great big accomplishment to save $100 per week! I make anywhere from $150 to $220 a week, and only really need it for my cellphone bill and saving, yet I tend to spend too much anyway. I need to work on that though. I think I could save $75.00 a week for a start, then move it up as I go. Of course as I've said before, I have a way to save, so every time my money gets spent through my debit card, one dollar goes towards my savings.

I have to get started to get motivated. Usually if I am having trouble...if I just take the first step..I am more likely to follow on through. It's hard to get motivated sometimes but I could probably use a little of it myself too..lol.

I think that when it turns about this time of year, it gets even worse for people to get motivated. I have reasons to be motivated, and people telling me I need to be. There is a weekend coming up where I have a few days off, what I really need to do is just buy a few containers, turn on the t.v. to music and DANCE my way through getting most of it done. It's almost not so much, but a whole lot at the same time. I am glad you can take that first step and then get the rest of it done, I can't. I've gotten some done, I just need to get some more done as well.

I need to get out, and get shopping ahead of time so I am not stuck in the Christmas rush that is already forming at the local mall. I am hoping to do some online shopping as well as going out of town for shopping.

I am not even sure what I am going to get anyone, or if me and my friends are going to gift exchange or anything. We're all pretty much poor. It might be that we just get together and have a good time.

There are many things to do..better if you take a chance to relax, think a little for the things you already done and list On the things you must start to accomplished all the task you have on your mind..if you are into it better to focus yourself one task at a time..

Sounds as if you have some very good ideas. I have things I need to do also. I need to finish the responses and discussions I have gotten over the last three days. I have been behinds for several weeks now. First because my browser had a problem since my administrator did a upgrade, then behind because of Mylot's upgrades and now behind because of an outage in our area. Ugh! Gets so very frustrating. And I have about a dozen or more articles started that I need to finish after I get Mylot caught up.

Since Friday last week, and over the weekend I felt so lazy. It was due to the fact that I had tons to do at work, and tons of paperwork to do for my online business. I didn't feel like doing any of it, so I lived in the couch on the weekend. Me being under the weather also didn't help. I even skipped work on Monday because I needed to recover from all those time being lazy. Early Tuesday morning I decided to get at it. And it all started after I shaved! I felt like a new man, and was motivated to do some work.
