and never put the bills first.I see people that have debt collectors at their house all the time and yet you will see them spending money on things that they do not really need, tvs, dvds, phones, going out, keeping up with people in the same street. This makes me sick seeing people not paying for their bills and saying that they have no money, yet they were seen going out and about, drinking, paying for clubs that they go to.My bills come first, as, the roof over my head i need and the food and other services are just as important, some people make me angry.

I too first settle all my bills first. Then i buy all the necessities and household requirement. All the other requirements are non essential and their priority is much less.I feel those who have bill collectors pestering them have their priorities all wrong.

I think that people should pay all their bills first, as this is the one thing that will get you in a muddle.I know and see that there are people that would rather go out and go to pubs, clubs and shopping for things that they do not need and yet they are the people who moan when they have ran out of money the same day as they have been paid.

I believe its the expectation that they will always and somehow make ends meet. As long as they have a decent and stable income flowing to their bank account, they have no hesitation to spend it all

A lot of people tend to spend more money than they have on a load of things that they do not have and then you hear that they have debt collectors, bailiffs, also going to court for money that they should have paid, yet they say that its not fair, or moan that they did not pay it as they had other things that they had to spend money on.

I know people like that! Some people just don't care or just don't realize it is importamnt to pay bills first! Then they spend money on everything else but bills and then complain they never have money! DUH! Bills should be more importmant them going out and spending money on stuff you really don't need! I always pay my bills first and what I have left over I spent it on other things!
A friend of mine's late huisband was ike that! she worked hate to get him to realize he needed to pay bills first then he could can spend money on other things! He learnt that lesson but not with with credit cards! He always had to many!

I think that some people do not realise that when they get them self in debt or behind with their bills then it is really hard getting back on track and some people do not really care.I know people that are for ever paying their bills later, shame these people do not realise that this always go against them in the end for their credit rating, also companys.

Well it depends on who is the person. For example, if they're young people then its really not surprising hearing about this but if its older generation trying to be young or trying to be somebody their not, that its sad. Its nothing to be angry about though, its their choice and let them deal with it.

These are people that have a family and think that they can be bailed out by other people like friends as well as family, that lend them money.I think some people try to keep up with what other people are buying and they think that bills do not matter. Some people even think that as they have children that they will not be cut off things like the electric, gas or even get kicked out of the place they they are living in.

My bills comes to me first too, yet each of us has the option to spend their money ont their own will. If you do have these priorities, you are more oriented toward obtaining basic needs. It is true that some people can afford spending at will, but it is their own bussines. Maybe when I woon't have what to do with my money, I'll be tempted to do the same. Why not, what could stop me?

People should pay their bills, so that they have a roof over their heads and food to eat, as these are a few bills that people seem to think that will wait until they get a letter, then they tend to forget the letter asking for the rent money or electric and when they end up homeless or no electric, they tend to blame people other than them self.I always have paid all my bills first and them worried about should i save or spend the money that i have left over.

You have no idea. I have a boyfriend that I argue with every week. I do all the bills and write out the checks and let him know what his half is. Every time it's a big deal that he hardly has any money left for himself. He has one child and I have four, but i always have money left. I only make a few cents more than he does, but I will agree with you that it gets really frustrated watching someone spend there money on unnecessary belonging when necessities need to be bought. Does a person actually need to buy a blueray everypayday or eatout everyday??

I put all of my bills first and once i have paid them, then what is left i tend to save.I feel that there are people out there that tend not to keep up payments on things as they see things and have to have them, or go out and flash the cash, then they panic as they get threats from people saying that they are going to be cut off the phone or electric.

Not many people are efficient in financial management and that makes their domestic finance in poor state. Mom always say never say 'I have no money' when in fact you have money regardless of how little money you have. She further added, lady luck won't smile to those who are negative minded. It always feel good when you prioritize paying debts as it will give us extra breathing space with what ever left of wages when every dues have been settled.

I can certainly understand this frustration, as I don't understand it either and I find that it can certainly get frustrating. Bills should always come first. I just don't understand those individuals who don't put their bills first. It's definitely not the way to do it, in my opinion.

One of ex-boyfriends was like that. When he got his salary he spent the money within one week, because he bought expensive things, went out for dinner every day, visited pubs or clubs all the time etc. The last 3 weeks of the month he had no money at all and he always had to borrow money from me or from his friends. I found it very annoying that he always chose enjoyment instead of the bills and I found him very irresponsible. Of course it is more fun to buy enjoyable things, but rent, food and bills comes first in my opinion. We had a lot of arguments about money, because he wanted to have fun and I wanted to make sure that we had enough money for rent, food and bills.

Irresponsible people moan, when they have spent all their money, they also think that other people will pay their bills.I think if people buy things that they do not need and go places that they do not have to go to like the pub, knowing that they either owe money, or have bills to pay, then they are also selfish.I pay all my bills first and then what ever is left over i know is mine.

Maybe it depends on their environment or in the way they were brought up. I also don't like people who spend their money on their pleasure and then ask or borrow money from people who try to earn just to make both ends meet. Anyway, we also learn from them - we should buy things we need and not things we want. Life is tough nowadays.

I do not like it either, how people tend to spend money on all the things that they want for entertainment and do not like to pay bills.I hate to hear of friends that lend money to other friends and do not get it back on time when they have been told that they will be paid back.I think that people, that get people to get things for them should also pay them on time.

That's just about it. There are people who loves doing just that and you won't be able to dictate to them what they want to do. They chose to do so, but of course, they must suffer the consequences of splurging money first before paying out their bills. It seems that they are the kind of individuals who are not thinking and are only living for pleasure when in fact they are already digging the end of their pleasure days by not paying their bills firs and spending all out again and again. Don't be too caught out by them. They are not worth being stressed and angry at.

I also don't get that. They are spending their salaries on non important things first when in fact, they should be using that money to pay their debts. It's supposed to be that way. I don't know. I guess there are just some people who really gets tempted to buy new things especially when it's something that they really like.

I know some people who are like this and it makes me want to punch them in their heads and make them realize how important it is to prioritize what is needed to be paid first than their materialistic wants. And it pains me that these kind of people are the ones who are paid higher yet they ask financial aid from you because they have lost theirs after splurging it all at once over parties, clubbing, drinking, shopping and gadgets. I can feel you and I pray that they'll realize that what they're doing is making them problematic in the end. Well, I guess that some people who does the same feel like it's the last days of their lives that spending their incomes all at once is the best and unfortunately for them, the right thing to do.
God bless you joystick!

I am frugal and used to be not so understanding when seeing people spending their money foolishly especially when they wanted to borrow from everyone afterwards. But now one of my best friends is a lot more frivolous in spending than I am but I overlook it because otherwise she is such a nice person, and so generous with others. She drives an expensive car and usually only puts enough gas in it to get where she's going, whereas I fill up the tank when I gas up. But I plan my shopping so that we drive the shortest route whereas it is noticeable that she zigzags all over town.

My wife makes sure bills are paid, she is the master of saving money and paying off credit card debt (unfortunately we have a lot of medical bills). It always irritates us when we someone that spends their money on crap and stuff they don't need instead of paying their bills.
We had a couple that we were friends with, and they were always broke because they spent their money on stupid stuff. They went out, bought a DVD player, A stereo system, a game system and a TV but had to return it all when they realized they couldn't buy diapers or food for their baby. They didn't have money to pay their rent that they were living in a hotel for the place they worked and got it at a great price. They were lucky the hotel didn't kick them out when they weren't getting paid for staying in their room.

Hi Joystick, I think something to do with their upbringing.
some parents pampered their kids too much, always buying toys for them.
In the end, those kids do not learn about responsibility and delayed gratification. they just spend and spend on their physical and material needs.
They never give a thought to the other family members.
I think those who go to the casino, and blow it all away are the worst of all.
They will definitely borrow money from someone, and never repay a single cent, not even when they win.

I don't have that much bills so savings comes first in my salary. After setting a side a percentage, I will then pay off my bills. I eat out a lot so my pantry is pretty empty. I put myself on a weekly allowance. I spend the rest on clothes and things like that.
