I just made this raisin breads yesterday and they went quite good the bread is soft and fluffy. While it was baking in the oven the room starts to smell like raisin. What make this unique is that i used a wild yeast from the raisin.I soaked them with clean sterilized water for 6 days until they become fizzy(yes the yeast are alive in the raisins) and use it to make the bread. It doesn't have a strong beer yeast smell that you get from commercial yeast instead it has a fruity smell. My brother enjoyed it so much that he finish one loaf.I was happy with the taste =)
happy Baking myloters =)!

My husband loves raisin bread. Sounds delicious. I like the idea of not having the strong yeast smell. You will have to send me the recipe. It won't bother me to let raisins sit for 6 days. Do you put the cover on the jar with the raisins and water?

Yes I cover the jar I usually use a mayonnaise jar or a jam jar container, use the glass. You just have to sterilize id =). 3/4 cup raisin 1 cup water then just let it sit for 6 day. Just be sure to shake and open the lid every morning so your yeast wont drown in CO2 then close it back. =)
I can send a link one messages right?

The raisin bread and the letting the raisins sit for 6 days sounds interesting. I have quart size canning jars that are glass, basically they are the same size as the mayonnaise jars. Gotcha. Shake and open each morning or 24 hours from when you put them in the jar. I can't wait to try it.
Do you use bread flour or all purpose flour?
Yes you can send a link to my messages. If you like I can send you my email addy as well.
Have a great day. Hugs

good appetite, and many successful recipes. Sunflower seed tastes great in bread. Homemade is more healthy because it lacks those additives which are growing the bread almost twice like the ones form market. And more, if was done with great love, it enhances the harmony in the house. There are many recipes for bread, there's even the bread made ??of corn. I appreciate the original recipes.
