What Goes Around Comes Around

Or so they say. Also referred too as Karma. I am sure there are many here who believe this in some form, and often wonder when it is really ever going to come back around. The thing is to make sure if it is something that is not good for the moment, you remember to not let it rule and control you as that would not be good for sure.
Do you believe in Karma? Do you learn to accept things as they come, or do you let them control you and then wonder why you are never able to move past them. I know with the situation with my Health and the way my Boss was being I even made a comment I hope you are never in this situation and then he made a comment don't try to wish Karma on me like others have tried to do.
But at the same time I was Praying about this situation, and my boss's dad got really sick and passed on. Just since the situation where he was trying to get me to consider leaving the job before I filed with the EEOC. So maybe this has been a wake up call for him personally to not be so mean and be a little more understanding if you want Good things in your life.
But personally no matter what we need to remember to treat others as we would want to be treated, and do things that are good to them and for them as well. No, you will never like everyone you come in contact with but if you learn to do like the Bible says and do unto others as they would do unto you in all things, it may not always be the Best for you, but things do get better in time.

WIth family members having pschological problems, guardianship of a troubled child, daughter not always taking her meds, and all manner of grandson horrors I have had to learn some self control and to let things roll off of me. I have severe depression with panic attacks and if it wasn't for the correct medication I finally found I would be in a rubber room somewhere. I believe very firmly on Karma too. If I didn't I would surely not have made it this far. I just had my 60th birthday November 6th. Sometimes I get so depressed I can't help myself and it is horrible. I do believe in the Golden Rule also. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Personally the Golden Rule is one that many people I think, especially ones who might claim to be a Christian and make you wonder are prone to misuse, and forget about. But over all I do believe that in order to have Good things happen to us we need to always try our Best in everything, and treat everyone with kindness and respect and hope they in turn can do the same.

If I didn't have Karma to think about and believe in I would be in a nut ward some where.

I can't find the Bible verse right now but I remember reading that good works are rewarded and bad deeds come back 10 times. It's true. I've lived 57 years and have seen my good and bad deeds come back to me so I do believe in the concept of Karma.
Good and bad are rarely returned to you by the people directly involved in your actions but whatever you do will be returned to you and if it is bad it is multiplied even more than the good. I guess to get you into line and bring you to wisdom and repentance before you let evil ruin your life more. It doesn't happen right away--in my case my worst bad actions returned more than 30 years later but I recognized it because I had a guilty conscience that bothered me. I was almost relieved even as I suffered because at last I suffered the consequences.
I doubt your boss' father passing was Karma. God takes people home on His schedule, not ours. But I have no doubt that something similar to what he has done to others will visit him sometime in the future. I just hope he makes the connection and has the will and opportunity to be sorry for his actions.
A footnote--I was re-baptized before my Karma came back on me. For those who think all is forgiven at that point, it is--but that doesn't stop the consequences you must deal with for your bad deeds.

Yes my friend, it is True good and Bad are passed down to us from our actions. It may not always come right away, but if you do unto others as you would have done unto you everything usually will be a lot better for sure. I just know now I am dealing with some Co-workers with some major medical issues that were a little judge mental on me and my situation and I hope in time wake up and realize to be a little more understanding while also taking care of their Health while they still have it.

Sometimes people don't make the connection. We have to forgive them or we'll blacken our own spirit and inhibit our own grace. I know that I regret a lot of times I was judgmental and it wasn't until a long time later that I remembered how I mistreated people because I thought they were whiny or self-absorbed--I didn't realize until I was in a similar situation that I should have been more empathetic. But how could I have, when I had not had that experience? I feel terrible for judging them but there is no way to say I'm sorry now, they are either long gone or I can't find them. Those people will probably feel regret eventually but it's up to you to truly forgive them right now. It'll do your soul good and make room for more happiness.

Well, I have actually became friends with one of the people who I had a disagreement with, and have learned actually from a couple of people even though I might not always agree with everything they say, and consider some of it a little off color, etc. I just let it go and hope in turn they learn from their mistakes.
As most of the people who caused some kind of problem to get me to consider starting this type of discussion have had or do have some major Medical issues right now, and some of them have had Surgery, or have too, etc. I hope somehow they realize sometimes it is not right to judge people on something as you never know when it could happen back to you.

I've seen karma in action in a very big way. My ex was horrible when we were married. He did all kinds of bad things to me and our family until I finally kicked him out the door. Karma paid him a visit immediately by him not being able to find a place to stay (his "friends" abandoned him) but the really BIG karma kicked his butt a couple of years ago. He found he had a cancerous tumor in one of his tonsils. I know he had to have surgery and radiation/chemotherapy treatments but don't know what is happening these days. All I know is that he is still on disability because I'm still receiving child support arrear payments and they are coming out of his disability checks.

Yes, many times it does come back to haunt them, and many times in ways a person would never think possible. Sometimes it is noticeable to them why things always happen to them. But hopefully somehow it can be a wake up call for many as well.

I do not believe in Karma, but I do believe that we are all responsible for our own actions & that if we are mean to others or cause others harm in any way then there will be repercussions. Bad things happen to ALL people no matter what. Some of us learn from these experiences & try to become better people, while for others this just makes them more mean spirited. It all depends on the type of person I guess. One thing I do believe is that whether or not you pay for your crimes or your bad behavior in this life there is no escaping God's judgement. One day we will all be judged by our actions, how we lived our lives & by how we treated others. That's what I believe.

Yes, this is a Good way to look at it, and there are times when something happens good to a Bad person, and it makes you wonder why. Or when something happens it makes a person even meaner, etc. I personally think a lot of it is how we perceive life and brought up that will mean the most in time.

For me things happen because of the external factors that affect the situation. Yes, you can include karma maybe because you may not know what effects would this create. Somehow on our subconscious mind affects our behavior.
So when you did something and you did something to others you can call it karma.

Well, yes because no matter what we do in life, whether it be Good or bad it can come around and haunt us. If we are doing good things, it may always seem like it takes a while for Good things to come back but many times it does, and sometimes in more better ways that what we were expecting.

I totally believe in Karma and when bad things happen to me, I wonder what I may have done recently to spark this bad wave. Well this is why I try my best to be good and helpful to other people because I would only want the same in return! Being nice to people is always a total positive but if it means getting the same respect back is twice as good!

Yes, this is a Great way to look at things and expect everyone to give the same Respect back no matter what the situation, but as well all know usually this does not happen. But that is one reason it is Best to try and Be good at all times so in the end everything turns out OK.

I would very much like to believe in Karma but it can be difficult to continue to believe in something like that when it seems that no matter how good you are or how much good you do, so much bad stuff happens. I've waited a long time for things to get better (I have done what I can to make them better, I haven't just sat around waiting for something to happen!) but every time I think things can't get worse, they do. I do wonder if, perhaps, I've previously done something really terrible to deserve it all or maybe I should be looking forward to some amazing good fortune!

Well, sometimes I feel the reason that things continue to go wrong is maybe God is testing us to see what we will do, or how we will call upon him to help us. Many times it is up to us to find ways to change the situations we are in, and even if they seem like they are not improving, find ways to help change them. I know in my own life I have been thru a lot but always know and believe that God is in control and no matter what happens from here, one day looking back I know it will be worth it all.

I agree to a certain extend, not completely, we do have the will and the capacity to change. But certain things seem almost as if karma was involved,

Yes, I do believe that one, because eventually what we do or have done in life will come back around. Whether it be Good or bad, and often times it could be as well when we least expect it, but there are many times in life when someone has done something Bad to me especially I would Love to see when it comes back around to bite them. See how they are reacting then, especially when they are trying to get their life back together and think everything is OK.

In Hindu religious faith it is believed that what you sow is what you will get...If you do better harm your assurance for comfortable living is assured. But I have come across several people including myself whose good karma have never been positively recognized and paid for in a just manner.

Yes, I think many times we see things happen and we wonder when the good things will come, because like they say you reap what you sew, and if it is good it shall be good given back. But maybe it just takes time.

Well let's put it this way, the person who I have been having issues with at work since this, has had her daughter so sick she could not even move, etc. Then she tries to act all superior still like she is better than everyone, and one of these days it will come back. Funny thing is a lot of people who used to talk to her no longer will?

To be honest, this is one of the reasons why I try to live my life as righteous as possible. Even if the odds are stacked against me, I would still try to do the right thing. Because at the back of my mind I know that what goes around, really do come around.
I wouldn't say it takes control of me, but it's something to think about while I deal with people all around.

Yes, this is a Great way to look at things, and in reality the way all life should be. If more people, even Christians looked at things this way there would be a lot less problems and more people could really get along.

It is hard to believe in what goes around comes around.
I never saw any prove of it. Ofcourse if you go look for it or wait long enough (years) you can always find something and say about that: now you see or feel how it is what you once did to me.
It depends on what is happening if I will accept it.
Accept just everything is not the way. It's easier to say you will as to do so in reality. Also it takes a lot of positive energy to tell yourself each time again to just accept it.
If you want a change you have to fight for it. It's better to invest engery in working on that as just sitting their, waiting for a change, someone else to get what he/she deserves sooner or later because you think it's all karma or god his wish.
Your chances are all in your hand. You can grab them or let it be.

Well many times we are not around to see what will happen to someone who chooses to judge us and not accept us for who and what we are. Many times these people are often the ones to have issues maybe later in life, or even just a couple months down the road, and many times never stop to think about why something might be happening like this to them as well. But hopefully if it is something like this when it does it helps them Stop and think and become a better person because of it as well.

Yes, we as people are always making mistakes. That is how we often do learn is from doing something. But when you constantly are doing things wrong or saying things always trying to hurt someone, that is not good as well.

because it always happens in my life, to me and to everyone else I encounter
good and bad karma,
will happen no matter what we believe, race, skin, language, religion, social status and so on
I'm glad it happens to your boss and I know we all get back what we send out

Personally sometimes I think Karma is about the only thing that sometimes will change a person to Stop and think and often be a little more understanding. In this situation not always what you really want to see, but if it changes things for the Better I guess it is meant to be.

That is a Great way to look at it my friend. I think many times though we often are not sure how to act. But when someone continually is a Jerk, I just tend to leave them alone and usually start praying about the situation, and if it has been too bad things change and the person is removed at the time from my life. Just interesting to see what transpires for them later on.

Hi KrauseHome, The law of Karma is a law and whether we believe it or not makes no difference. You may deny the law of Gravity, but that doesn't stop things from falling back to earth. We have only to treat others as we would like to be treated, if we were in their situation, and all will be well. Blessings.

That is so true. If more people out there would remember to Treat others like they would want to be treated, no matter the situation it would prevent a lot of unwanted situations in a lot of others lives. People sometimes do forget to think before they act and often sometime later it may come back to haunt them.

It's hard to accept the law of Karma if you do not believe in more than one life.
But most religions support the law of as you sow so shell you reap. Since we can't do over in life, it's best to accept what we cannot change and to base our lives on the do unto others as you would have them do unto you way of life.

I believe in karma and though I won't say that it is a driving factor in the way that I live my life, I do think about the fact that I should always treat people in the way that I would like to be treated in my life.
With that said, when there have been people that have done me wrong in major ways, I do like to think that eventually that same kind of behavior is going to come back around at them and bite them in the tail.

Yes, there are times I know that when people are always mean and sometimes vindictive you know in time it is going to come back and bite them, and sometimes I know you would Love to be there to watch when it does. For me there are these times, and as long as it is not harmful in the way it would kill them many times I think they need a wake up call just to help maybe somehow make them a Better person somehow.
