I find people with long eyelashes to be pretty/handsome. When I was in highschool I sometimes hope that I have such lashes. 'Though there are plenty of fake lashes out in the malls, I have never tried wearing one, even if it's my dream to have pretty, thick and long lashes as a child. Maybe becoz I am not really that fashionable and thinks I would not need a fake one.
I know some of my brother's girl friend are wearing fake eyelashes. And seeing the photo I attached here together with the news intrigued me. http://shine.yahoo.com/fashion/cool-paper-eyelashes-center-attention-180000369.html
I thought it was the usual fake lashes I've been seeing before, but nope... this is a paper eyelashes which has cool designs of peacock, feathers and even seahorses. I've seen such in movies where some dancers would wear one. But I am not sure if those in the movies are the same one in the news I've read.
I don't know if my brother's girl friend would even consider wearing one. Maybe not. How about you? Would you wear one if you're into fake lashes?

Hi enelym!
I have short eyelashes and I have always dreamed of having long ones. In fact, I envy my little nephew because he has long eyelashes. My sister had to trim them once in a while while he was still a baby so it would grow long. I wish my mother had done it to mine when I was a baby, too. I especially want long eyelashes because my eyes are like those of the Japanese and Chinese, singkit.
Anyway, I would try wearing fake lashes but I'm afraid that it might not stick to my eyelids properly since I'm singkit. It might fall off. ^^ It would be fun though to wear fake lashes with designs such as peacock and feathers. But I heard it's a little expensive to have fake lashes? Is that true?

Yes it was said to be expensive... so I'm not even planning to wear one or buy one just to try it on
I also have small eyes, I don't consider myself 'singkit' but people sees me as one. And I also think having long and thick lashes looks good if we're having chinky eyes
Wow really? So trimming the lashes will make it grow long? I don't know about that, what if it didn't grow back? The baby will get mad with the parents haha!

No, i don't want wearing fake lashes. The way i see it from my gay friend, it's too heavy and tedious to put on.
I am contented with just putting on a waterproof mascara and a liquid eyeliner. They already enlivens my eyes and makes my face attractive. Brushing some brow maker into my brow completes my face.

But once you get used to putting it on everyday before going to work like i do, it won't even take you 10 minutes.

Yeah it really looks so heavy that I sometimes think it will fall off anytime.
That's nice, I don't know how to put mascara and liquid eyeliner without messing my eyes first one of my friends do it so quick.

I wear them sometimes especially on special events. I don't like wearing false eyelashes with various designs like feathers, peacock and such. Even though I think they'e really pretty on anyone's eyes, I would still prefer the natural-looking ones.

I guess those with designs are mostly used by stage performers or at special events. Natural looking ones are still great! =)

I have never worn a fake eye lashes. I also wanted to have thick, long eye lashes but I will never wear fake ones. I have seen lots of girls wearing fake lashes and it is so obvious that it is fake. The picture is kind of creepy lol. It's like they have worms in their lashes. I would never wear one like that!

@mariahhh,
It's really difficult putting on those fake lashes. It will be hassle too and people not used to wearing one will always feel uncomfortable with it.

NO! False lashes scare the crap out of me, lol. I also think they're usually unnecessary - my lashes are perfectly fine the way they grow naturally thank you. An occasional swipe of mascara is the most I'll do.

I wouldn't try putting one as well. I feel like my lashes are gonna fall off if I try to put it on me. Mascara works wonders and I think most women who likes make ups prefers mascara over fake lashes.

Yeah we should be contented with our lashes, thick or not... especially if we are not into applying make up and those stuff.

No, but if given the chance- if someone puts it on for me since I don't know how to do it. I won't wear those extravagant ones with color and design though..just normal ones. My friends wears those sometimes. I think wearing maskara is better though and easier to put on and take off.

Those lashes are great! Perfect for parties or any event where you have to wear costumes. I bet they are expensive!
I don't think i would buy them, i don't even put make up on.
My lashes are long enough, i'm content. I don't mind putting them on if someone gave them to me.

Fortunate people like you would be really satisfied with what you got, otherwise it won't look good if it's soooo thick and longer I guess mascara is just enough for you to use.

I wore fake lashes everytime we have a choral competition or if there are certain special occasions. But on a regular basis, I think it's unnecessary to wear such. I also envy those people who are blessed with long lashes. They are actually the first thing that I will notice when I look at a person in the eye. There is actually a procedure in salons wherein they add lashes on but I don't want to undergo such because my other friends got an eye problem because of it. I guess that's what you get when you are too vain and not happy of what you have. I'm only contented with my lashes and mascara. ^_^

Yes it's not good to wear fake lashes everyday dear Good that you did not consider going to the salon for fake lashes, it's not really good to undergo such procedure. It's not bad to dream or envy people having nice eyelashes but actually going to a salon for that... I don't think so it will do us good, and look at your friend having an eye problem, it's too risky.

I never have worn fake eyelashes. I don't plan to ever do it! I don't think it is necessary for me. Putting on fake eyelashes looks like it is difficult to put on. I know i would lose my paitence if I would try yo put some on! If a person wants to wear them,I am not against them! They just aren't for me.

I have tried wearing a pair of fake eyelashes when was in HighSchool for our Prom. It really felt uncomfortable! I felt have in my eyelids and I couldn't see clearly. When I got to the venue of our prom, I immediately removed them.
I'm okay with my natural eyelashes, they are not that long and not that thick, but a little mascara will do.
There are also parlors here where they extends your eyelashes for a couple of bucks. The extension usually last a month or so. Try it if you like.

Well thanks for the idea but I'm happy with my natural eyelashes too, like you it's not long and thick but this will do me good. Hahah! I just remembered I want to have those nice lashes when I was a child when I saw that article, but I don't want it anymore. Especially those funny looking lashes

I never used them always had long enough eye lashes myself so have my kids including my son (our whole family has). Personally I don't like fake at all, what is the use of it?
The kind you describe might be great for carnaval, celebration or theater or so but in real life.
Why is it interesting for you to know if the gf of your brother will consider to wear them?

Since she's the only person I know personally, I thought about her... maybe show her this one and asked if she have the guts to wear one. She's an outgoing young girl and maybe she can wear one in parties

I like being fashionable and I actually feel envy to those who are wearing it that's why I buy 1 pair of fake eyelashes. I tried wearing it at home but I just get it because I'm not comfortable. Same to you, I wish to have long lashes also. Maybe if it's in special occasion, I must need to wear it in order that I can be attractive and fashionable to look. I used to wear contact lens if I'm at work. Many of my friends like to look at me if I wear CL because of the color and it suits me. Anyways, there is no problem of being fashionable if you're just enjoy wearing anything either fake or not. It depends on you on how you bring yourself.

Yes there really is nothing wrong being fashionable. But sometimes we need to be careful using the fake ones especially if we really don't know how to use it properly.
