I think it varies with your age. A 15-year old dating a 25-year old would be really creepy/illegal, but a 55 year-old dating a 65-year old would be acceptable. I think a range of more than 10 years involves to great a difference in life experience. I don't think gender really matters, except that since women live a bit longer than men on the average, at ages over 65 or so, it might make sense for woman to date primarily slightly younger men.

Perhaps do it by percentage -- put the limit at 15-20% age difference -- so 25 and 20 or 80 and maybe 65 or so. Basically, dating some one old enough to be your parent or young enough to be your kid strikes me as really a bit warped.

I have to say that i had my first date at my high school. It's a little bit late, but i think the most important for both of the lover should be the feelings.Age is not the problem cause there are some girls around me who are also older than the guys, but they had good relationships.Anyway, just find the one you love, you would be blessed.

it honestly depends on the person. I have dated men who were younger, older and the same age as I am. Age means nothing to me (to an extent). The most important thing is how we communicate and get a long. How he treats me and if there is trust within the relationship. A lot of my relationships have started off as friendships, and some have ending in keeping the friendships as well.

It would really all depend on the person. I'm 21, and I'd probably date someone up to 35 depending on how good looking and down to earth they were. I don't usually date guys younger than me. If they were somewhat mature for their age, maybe I'd give it a shot. I'd go no younger than 19 or 20.

Most people would say, the age won't be matter. If you love a person, you love him/her. Personally, the age gap can be a significant barrier in a relationship too, since I had experience such gap in my life. So, I won't date someone who is much older or younger than me. Probably there is exception, which I may not know. It is all about your feeling though.

yeah feeling are an odd thing thou. some times it seems like your just sate up to fail. other times you don't know what to think about how you feel. and the gap is what i'm worried about is it going to cause my relationship to fail? But i also never felt so contacted to any one.

that seems reasonable. trust should always be a part of a relationship.

Well if you are 14 and have a boyfriend / girlfriend who is 10 years older than you`d get strange looks from the people, but if you are 30 and your mate is 40 I don`t see a problem in that. I`m 21 and I would not date anyone 3-4 years younger or older.
