Just curious what to do for a spider bite, the other day I was having some discomfort just below my right nipple, almost feels muscular. But I looked at it as I was showering an noticed a red area just below the nipple and it was inflamed some. I went home yesterday and after showering, I put some neosporin on a bandaid and covered the area. This morning I was changing the bandaid, on it I saw brownish something on bandaid where I saw 2 fang marks. The discomfort is still there, anything else I could try?

Here are some tips to care for spider bites:
1. If possible, catch the spider to confirm its identity. It's important to know the identity of the spider, whether it is a Tarantula spider, Black Widow spider, or Brown Recluse spider, since the treatment will depend on how venomous the spider bite is.
2. Wash the bitten area with soap and water.
3. Apply ice or a cold pack over the bite to relieve pain.
4. Seek medical help. For Black Widow Spider bites, an antivenin exists that can provide relief within a few hours.

May I suggest you go see a doctor. Have it checked out just to be sure. Some spiders are poisonous. Better be safe than sorry. Though venom poisonous spiders tend to have an immediate effect (saw this on National geographic channel).

So what's the verdict? Did the sore go away or did you attempt the doctor? Was it a spider bite or something else?
Please let us know, as I like to have that knowledge in case someone else goes through the same thing or even for myself.
THANKS and hope all is well.

Don't assume things. DOn't be the doctor of yourself. Remember, that area of the body is susceptible to many complications. I suggest you go see a doctor to make sure that it's really an insect bite or something else. If it is, then ask for a prescription to ease the discomfort.

It very well could not be a spider bite though and I would first and foremost have it seen before it get's infected or too swollen.
I've seen too many stories where even a spider bite turns into something really awful, escpecially when we don't always know what type of spider bite us.
This area is a very sensitive spot also so watch it closely. I hope everything turns out okay and with in a few days it will go away.
