Hi everyone! Once again, I am a little late on posting this, but better late than never! I went to the doctor last Monday to check on my CA-125 (tumor marker) and I got good news. My count went down. It was only 4 points, but down is down! I will be continuing on my current treatment until or unless the numbers start going up. Just thought you might want to know. Have a great week!!!

I haven't been here much either. I am still going through emails from September, but I should be finished with those with one more push. I hope your eye infection gets better soon! As far as them getting it all...I was told the same thing back in 2003, but here I am again. Let's hope that you stay cancer free for a long time! Did you see the discussion with my cross-stitch project that I just finished? Have a great week!!!

I included a picture of it. Even if you don't know anything about it, you can still look at it if you want. Don't feel like you have to, but it is something that has kept me busy off and on.

That is a great bit of news. I guess you have been pretty busy with classes and the Red Cross.

You are right about that! I always do things that keep me at least happy if not healthy. I guess that is why I keep doing the Red Cross stuff. Have a great weekend!!!

This is great news and I hope that we hear more of these kind of news from you. Just take in a lot of fresh fruits and veggies in order to boost your immune system. Also if possible, try to avoid stress because it is proven that stress causes a lot of illnesses and aggravates cancer. Also, I learned this with my mother who had liver cancer that cancer cells feeds on sugar. I don't know if you have a sweet tooth, but probably if you do try to cut down a little on foods that do have sugar in them.

I have been trying to eat more good foods and less of the processed junk. I really should have been doing that years ago, but only started doing it recently. As far as sweet tooth goes, I do sometimes experience that, but I rarely eat more than small amounts. Stress is another story. Money is not a stressor right now, but my brother comes by often and shares his stress. That gives me enough to last a lifetime. Oh well... Thanks for the comment!

Dearest Debbie, I just read your post as I´ve been in bed with some digestive problems due to celebrating my last chemo. One forgets that chemo takes it´s toll on skin, inside and out. And I´m saying this because you (as I) should watch what you eat. I was given a big booklet on what to eat and what not to et and feel fine as long as I follow the rules. Your tumor marker filled me with happiness. Let´s hope it continues to go up. I take one day at a time, but try to make the best of each of them. I want to tell you again that we can have vacations together on a sunny place so you can escape of the cold there or you can come to my house too. I have another appointment with the doctor on Dec, 13, an I´ll have another scan, but I too have good news as the bone marrow is cleared. A BIG HUG!!!

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. Actually, I hope the tumor marker continues to go DOWN! It was going up and that is why they have me on my current course of treatment. I have another appointment on Dec 5 so I hope that will bring more good news! I hope your appointment goes well also. My niece will be coming down on the 27th and staying until the 19th or so. I hope that one day I will be able to visit, but I don't know if it will happen this year for financial reasons. Take care of yourself!!!
