Today I had to get up early to go to college even though I had at first class this afternoon. I share a rental car with 2 people my housemate for one semester. Our rental house is quite distant from our lectures. The U is also providing transportation services to students either on campus or off campus, but either on campus or off campus, but have to fight with other students. Sometimes have to wait longer if the first trip was not successful. The bus moved twice. The first from outside the campus to the bus depot. Last one from the bus depot to the west campus where my lectures there. But that was all our challenge as a student. I think that all the challenges we went through prior to succeed. How about you? What are your transport to go to college?

When I was in college, the mode of transportation was a public transportation. In our country we have this vehicle called "jeepney". It can accommodate around 16-18 people on a trip. Well, it has been my mode of transportation for the 4 years of my college education.

I don't go to college anymore. But as I went it's by bike even if it took over 1 hour to get there. It's normal over here.
Those who have a bigger income can take a bus, or two, or more. Depends on where you live. Or they go live closer and find a room to stay during the week.
Nothing has changed, it still works like that.
I don't think there are many students over here who can afford themself a car and a rental car is even more expensive.

Thanks for sharing with me. That good for environment when use the bike. At my place, it so hard to see everyone use the bike to go anywhere. Here, we use the car, bus, train or lorry to go somewhere. I hope some day, here can use a bike as a part of our life.

My location of the university I went to was a lot more convenient than your university. From my house where me and my family leaves, I have to walk 5 minutes to the main highway, take a public transportation for a cheap fare. Then I have to transfer to another car for a much cheaper fare, travel for a shorter distance than the first, then walk for 5 minutes again upto to school. It would take an hour and a half I think.

I also think that because if I take the bus from outside the campus and then another bus to get to class, I probably would take about an hour to reach because the bus will turn into a campus to take students who are waiting at bus stops in each dormitory. And that would delay for me to get to class quickly.

Best transport to go to college is on our own bike. As u said, you have to get up early in the morning and rush for the college. If somehow you got up late then you can rush on bike. It's the easiest way to reach your college soon. Travelling is bus is a big headache for me. I am from India and travelling in buses in India is just annoying. People push each other in bus, we don't get seat to sit even for single minute. And we don't know at what time the bus comes and there may be traffic on roads and we get late for college. So best transport is our own bike or car.

I agree with you that the bike is suitable for use to go to class. However, not many of my college buddies who use a bicycle to go to class except in the hostel will use bicycles to get to class. While I was living outside the campus is quite difficult for me to use the bike for the last too many vehicles and is very dangerous for me to pass because there is no proximity to the traffic lights. The way that I can use either use the car rental or bus.

during my college years, i ride in a tricycle in going to school since i'm from the philippines. if you wonder what a tricycle looks like, it's a motorcycle with a sidecar. there are many tricycles here especially in our province. but sometimes, i don't like some of the tricycle drivers because they are picky in choosing their passenger and some of them even asks for a higher fare. but still, i don't have a choice. i still need to ride on their tricycle because if i won't, i will be late in going to school. :-)

You also having difficult time when studies. Maybe have someone that more difficult life than us. Even this, we must thank to God because from this we can be more realize that we can be human who know to grateful.

Its been an awful long time since I went to college, but when I did go to college I used to ride my bike to and from college. It took 30 mins to cycle to college.
I used to enjoy the bike ride to college as it woke me up and got me ready to study all day. The fresh air was good also on the way home as it got rid of the stale air from the classroom from my head

When I was in college, before I decide ot rent a place close to our school, I remember that I travel for about 1.5 hours just to get to school. I wake up as early as 5.30 Am then take a bath ang eat a little then head off. Our house is 3 rides away from our school. First I'll take a jeepney ride 1 hour then another jeepney ride for 15 minutes and another 15 minutes in a jeepney to reach our school. It was so tiring and I ended up getting late most of the time and exhausted even before the class starts
