Before I go to bed, I have this bedtime rituals which I do without fail. These are the things that I do before I go to sleep: 1. Take a shower 2. Change in to PJs 3. Strict Skin Care Regimen which includes application of astringent, moisturizer, eye-roll on then lotion. 4. Find my teddy coz I can't sleep without it. 5. Pray then snooze to dreamland. Do you have bedtime rituals? If you have then care to share? ^_^

Before i go to bed, i always wash my face, whatever the circumstance is. If not, i will not be able to sleep, because my face will surely itch. Secondly, i say a prayer before i close my eyes.

High 5! I cannot sleep without doing good hygiene especially washing the face. Some people actually pay less attention to this. I know someone who immediately goes to bed after changing to PJs without washing or removing make up. I can imagine that the pillow of that person is quite dirty. Tsk... I'm glad there are some people who still managed to say a prayer even after a long day. I'm also glad that you are one of those SIMPLYD.

Actually, the moment i arrived from work, i would already say my prayer of thanks and forgiveness from God and talk to him for about 10-15 minutes That way, when i am already very sleepy after me and husband has watched TV programs, i would simply say, Lord, "thank you for all the things you have given me today and for whatever i have knowingly and unknowingly done, please forgive me. " It gives me an assurance that should God taketh me away while sleeping , at least i have asked forgiveness from HIM.

That is so nice of you SIMPLYD! I'm probably going to follow what you do everyday. I sometimes, forget to pray especially when I am too tired. Thanks for sharing! ^_^

My doctor says it is very good to have a routine before you go to bed, its like training for your brain, I have always had trouble sleeping and when I stick to a routine like that I do get a better nights sleep.

Most people can't get to sleep if their brain is active. You should relax your brain 3 hours before you go to bed. It's like a computer, you have to "shut down" it which will takes a few minutes and not to turn it off directly on the power button.

I have to agree with you lilaclady. Bedtime routines help me go to sleep. I never thought it is sort of training for our brain. Great information. Nice analogy maz but I can't relax my brain 3 hrs before going to bed. My Bedtime routine is the relaxation time of my brain before it shuts down.

Well, mine is quite simple. I read a book after I clean up. : )

I used to read books before reading but I end up finishing the book first before I go to sleep. I can't sleep if I can't finish the book that I started. That's one of the reasons my mom hates seeing me with a book on bed because I end up sleeping by dawn time. ^_^

No I don't really. Depends on how late it is, I mostly just role into my bed and fall a sleep or are awake for hours because of pain.

Mine kind of odd. I always have troubles on getting to sleep so after cleaning up, I lay down on my bed and imagine anything under the sun. I would imagine myself as the president of our country, as a filthy rich billionaire, etc. Once, I even tried to astral project. I tried to relax and focused myself, but of course this ended without success.

It's not odd. I think it's imagining things that you feel relaxed and it suits your body. If I am not mistaken, that is what you call guided imagery which is actually very therapeutic and relaxing. Feel free to imagine because it's for free.

I never forget my rituals but like you, I'm acing the computer by night time then my rituals come after. Yoga? That's soo cool! You get to relax and improve you're concentration. Yoga is good I think before sleeping but stretching? I think it will keep you awake instead of hitting the bed. -_-

I have rituals before going to bed, but I sometimes skip it when I am so sleepy lol. First, I will take a warm shower, brush my teeth, wash my face with facial wash, apply a moisturizer, remove my bathrobe and change to my nightwear, apply shea butter cream to my body, fix my bed, pray, and put my cellphones at the side of my bed. make sure that the spaces are equal and in right order (because I'm kind of have OCD when it comes to cellphone lol ) and sleep after an hour of lying to bed. Is eye-roll on effective? My sister is using one, but i am not sure if it's really effective.
