A pleasant day dear fellow mylotters,
Me and my sister had a little chat this evening while she was cooking our food for dinner. While talking to each other, my mom approach us and ask, can we now eat our dinner? As she felt so hungry when she smell the aroma of the food that my sister is cooking. Then my sister told her, the food is not cooked yet. It was only the sauted onion and garlic that you able to smell. As the aroma of those two will really bring your stomach to feel the appetite to eat.
After that, I have just thinked, what is the secret behind a garlic and an onion. Wherein, if you combine these two and sauted it, the aroma will really make you feel the hunger.

I completly agree with you, airasheila. That´s why I just cannot cook without adding some fried diced onion with some crushed garlic in every meal I make. Sometimes, when I´m alone an wanting to stay at the computer without bothering to really cook, I fry some onions in jullienne with a bit of garlic, heat some bread in the same pan with the leftover oil and eat it with a cup of coffee. YUMMY!!!

Me too, I know that smell. Whenever my mother or my father
sautes onion and garlic, I feel like wanting to eat too.
I feel like not wanting to wait for the dinner to be cooked anymore.

I do agree with that. It's the scent that is stimulating the appetite control in our brains that which responses and translates to hunger. But I do know some people who dislike the aroma of it too. I have read an article before saying it's an old chef's trick to saute onions and garlic first to attract the eaters through the smell.
Happy MyLotting!

There are certain foods that could trigger the need for hunger and make you very eager to come in and enjoy the foods and meals. I do very much like the smell or sauted onions. Garlic does also have a very strong odor for you to smell. I guess that is why they are very popular ingredient to have to make a very delicious meal to eat.
