You may try one of these:
1. Find some interesting and relevant seminars/trainings to attend to where you can leave the office "legitimately".
2. Try doing tasks that you have not done before. Help some office mate of yours do their work.
3. Think something creative to hasten repetitive task at work.
4. Think of millions of unemployed out there, thank God and bless the days you have something from which to get your food and other needs.

You're much welcome, adhyz. I hope you also follow the first three suggestions. They worked for me too. They widened my exposure to other areas concerning my job, made me appreciate the importance of my work and enjoyed doing it the faster way.
Mind you they will also empower you to increase your credentials and skills, points you can add up to your resume in case there is need to find another employer.

I do not work in the office, I am just a housewife, who working at home. I also often lose motivation, to do all my housework. If I lose motivation, to do my work, I try to raise my motivation, keeping in mind, my husband's anger. I would say to myself, eager to finish all the work. Because, if my work is not finished, my husband would be angry. When remember it, I will return to continue the work.

Hi Adhyz, boring work mates is still better than those who talk bad about you behind your back.
I think you can set some short term goals instead of thinking about working there for the next ten years.
If you have worked there too long, you might want to seek another employment or ask for a transfer.

Hi Adhyz, you will meet all kind of people in the workplace.
The worst is those pets of dear bosses.
They do not need to do so much work, and they have all the time to report every mistake made by others to bosses.
Even if you make no mistake, they will misquote your words, and report to bosses.
Once I just made a remark "so troublesome", because of a system error, and I had to redo everything.
That stupid pet of boss went to boss, and complained that I had attitude problem!
This kind of people really can make your blood boil.

yes, your information is right..
there are people who only seek our mistake and report to bos..i don`t know why in every place we must see the such person like that..
sometimes, even we had no mistake, in their eyes, what we do is still we had mistake..

I would take a break from work, take time to find inspiration for me to be motivated again. Motivation is important in work because once we lose it, it doesn't only affect us but everybody around us. It doesn't matter to me if my colleague is a boring person, since we are there to work, and if he's too entertaining, i might lose my focus in work. Whether a colleague is good or bad, they are always some plus points about it, look positively and life gets easier.

Take a leave of absence for a couple of days or a day. I suppose your employer has a specified Leave of Absence form for that. In our country, one of the benefits of a regular employee is a compensated vacation leave for a certain number of days. If you're qualified and your employer gives such benefit, you may avail that and find inspiration from whatever interests you just as Sanitary said.

When that happens, i think it would be better to suggest a team building activity for everybody.

It is the activity for the employees, wherein the officers will be given a chance to improve themselves by learning how to build good working relationships within the company. This enhances their skills in bringing out the best of themselves through team effort, to achieve the company's goals.

These days I feel just like this. There's a lot to do at work that I get overwhelmed and not really motivated to do anything.
I took a day off the day before yesterday to help me re-charge. I'm still not back to a 100% motivation, but I'm getting there. I'm hoping that this weekend would completely help get back to the groove of working.

Hi adhyz: It has happened to me sometimes and the answer for me is quite simple: your brain is the most valuable tool and it could help you to change how you think. Think about the reasons why you don't feel motivated and change the things you can, try to have a good additude on your job and think positive. This has helped me to be motivated in my job.

If I lost my work motivation, I will think that with work is only the way to get what we wanted. Probably, there is nothing you do to make money instead of working. People must work. People have to buy food, drink and the like. To buy food, drink, we must have money and money that we'll get is from place of work.

Whenever I lose interest in work--I stop doing it. After a lapse of time I will get back to work and take whatever I am doing as very very important and do it. I am a freelancer and not working in a company. It suits me. But this style may not fit in a regular office atmosphere wherein whether you like or not you have to be continuously working.

Sometimes I also lose my motivation to work when my office colleagues who has been with the company longer than I was, starts to say bad experiences they got from the company. But I think what better way to brush this off is to continue working hard and loving your work and your company.
We can hear them talking, we cannot avoid that sometimes even if we choose not to listen with their conversation. But I guess it is with our own perspective not to take such things seriously and realize that nothing is perfect in this world.

Loss of motivation, very disturbing the spirit of our work. I often experience, loss of work motivation. When I lose motivation to work, I tried to revive, the motivation of my work, thinking about the necessities of life, and responsibility, who should I meet. That way, the spirit of my work, will reappear.

I would take a break for a while also find some entertainment to refresh myself. When I was still single, I travel a lot. It really did help gain my motivation back. I usually asked for vacation permit for a few days then I would visit neighbouring town like Medan etc.
But now, with a toddler dangling on my legs, I cannot do that anymore, but that doesn't mean that I have lost all the fun. There are still many alternatives that I can do such as reading book, playing with my daughter (yes, it's fun!), watch movies etc. Those simple things surprisingly gain my motivation back.
To be motivated or not is your choice. It's all in the state of mind.
As for an annoying co-worker, I've dealt with it many times. I choose to ignore them completely and focus on my job. He/she is an adult, let him/her be.

Then there are only 2 things you can do.
You see it just as an income do your job and see that you get motivation etc somewhere else (private life) or you take the risk and leave!

I hate to admit it but I lose work motivation very oftern! Recently, is been cyclical but I think I've just recently discovered the method to eliminate this problem! Now I'm keeping a daly log for my earnings to I can visually see my increases, downfalls, calculations etc.! If this new method proves to be super beneficial then I will apply it to working out too! Then I can accomplish fitness goals! And when I become employed in an office, I can stay motivated by my work accomplishments!
