I've been here on mylot for about a month now, lately as expected I'm beginning to lose interest and spending less and less time here, hardly posting any discussion..responding to discussions once or twice a day.
The last 2 weeks I've been spending my time just browsing some travel blogs more specifically blogs about travelers trips in and around Palawan,Philippines. It makes me feel so homesick,if only i can afford to go....with my current situation financially,it's not gonna happen anytime soon.
I just wanna spend time in a quiet place surrounded by beautiful scenery, reflect on what life is all about and think of things I want to accomplish.
I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired.WTF!!!!

First you do something with your problem on being broke and for sure you can fix your problem on being depressed and bored :D I think it's high time for you to think up some money-earning tasks/jobs. I'm neck-deep with debts and I'm still trying to work things out so things can go as I planned but I'm not complaining :P Or maybe you need to layout your goals again? Short-term goals are a good start :)
Good luck and I hope you'll find a solution on your problem =)

That's life, pal. Many of us go through that stage. You really need to go home, take a break and unwind. Seeing and reuniting with your love ones and friends will help a lot. And prayer also changes things. Remember, behind the clouds the sun is still shining. cheers!

From Luzon? Maybe an ilocano? I didn't mean midlife crisis :) I mean everyone go through depression, boredom, and financial problems. Aww, so stressful! I hope you get to visit Palawan soon so that you will escape the depression you are feeling. It is so sad to know you have broken ties with your friend. I understand if you don't feel visiting your family, but whatever it is, I wish you good luck!

MIDLIFE CRISIS?no I'm still young to go through that stage.
Here's another problem that you might find weird.......I have no intention whatsoever to be with my Family(LUZON)if and when I ever go back to the Philippines, just wanna go to a peaceful place by myself somewhere in Palawan,El Nido or Coron....without them knowing.
I even broke ties with my Best friend of over 20years for no apparent reason.
CRAZY huh?

You are indeed having trouble getting your motivation to work on mylot. You spend less time here but you are able to spend more time in travel blogs and see the sites and you probably have even spent a day in those sites browsing. I know that you want to somehow start in mylot and see your earnings go higher but if you have given up so early i think you need to change your mind's game plan and really start to visualise yourself earning dollars upon dollars in mylot when you stick to the site instead of spending it elsewhere.
use your depression as a motivation here, think of the stuffs you want to unload and share with mylot so we can help you and you in turn help yourself recover. If you are able to share them, that is a good start.
The rest will settle on its own, everything will fall into place when you start thinking of the good things you will soon receive if you work on the them.

That happens to us every once in a while. One has to find the way one likes best to be relieved and getting rid of the boredom and depression. Well, there is always the bright light at the end of the tunnel. Keeping a positive attitude will help too.

not with me greenline, this has been my lifelong struggle and no matter how hard I try to change my attitude, ever the pessimistic that I am all I see is darkness at the end of that tunnel forever blocked by sorrows and endless feeling of despair.

Awww... that is so sad to hear that you are not active here anymore.
Well, maybe you can cheer yourself with something else like maybe calling your relatives in Palawan or something that will make you feel closer to them..
I hope you will get your interest back and start being active here once again!

Girl-T I still visit mylot daily..I just had this fascination with travel blogs and fell in love with Palawan from what they've written about it.I'm not from Palawan and I don't know anyone there,I'm from Bulacan originally.
Soon I'll be bored reading those blogs and before you know it I'll be once more addicted to this site hehehe!

that's life..sometimes we feel good sometimes we feel bad. I feel depressed most of the time and i try to do something that would relieve my stress and overcome depression. It isn't easy but we really have to cheer ourselves up. I hate that feeling. Just always remember that life is too short to worry so many things. cheer up bro!

yup!....there's just too many people out there whose situation and struggles are far worse than mine....being depressed is my excitement in life if that makes any sense.

well if you are tired of being sick and tired and broke, then get you as* up, motivate yourself and move on my friend. If you still wallow in your own depression nothing will happen and you wont get to have that dream vacations or that traveling you want to do. If you want those to happen then you have to wake up each day and work and move.

Just like you, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired, but the reasons that I'm in the state that I'm in are because of the financial situation that our family is facing as a result of my husband's cancer treatments.
I'm typically an optimist and that is the only reason that I've been able to hold things together through this last eight months. If it wasn't for being able to look through the dark tunnel and know that better things are coming for our family, then I don't think that I would have been able to make it through.

I know this game very well. The more I think about it, the more I get depressed. I feel stuck in a rut and I am not sure what I can do to get out. The only thing that seems logical enough to work for me, is a long term plan to save money and finish school, but that just sounds awful and is going to take way too long. I try my best not to think about it, which is nearly impossible, and keep myself busy with random household chores. It sucks and I think that I am just going to have to settle for some meds to "de-stress" about the whole thing. Good luck to you.

I have 2 types of those "meds"but I quit taking them, doesn't seem to work.
only if I can have access to some downers, then i'll be alright.
